Danubius Hotel Erzsébet City Center

The facility is nice and very new and I liked the stile and the design.

The room was nut made despite the sign to fix the room and the towels has not been replaced . The tea was not renewed an I needed to ask twice for it.

Good location and clean modern hotel

Lack of replenishing coffee sachets in the room, even when asked.

Decor, position, breakfast

Our room was only partially serviced on our last day. The shower gel was virtually empty from Day 1 and when we removed the pump to make it obvious that attention was needed, it was still missed and we had to call housekeeping. Some of the reception staff were aloof. We felt our queries were an imposition for them. Others were very helpful.

I loved how close it was to the city center. It made getting to all of our sights so easy and fast.

It was clean enough to endure and stay there for a few nights, but there was an underlying grime. The first room they gave me had gross sticky stuff on the table chairs. I asked for a new room and they gave me one. The second one was slightly better, but you can tell they don't deep clean. There was dust and hair in a lot of the corners behind furniture and on the mattress under the sheet. The mattresses need to be vacuumed regularly. The chairs had crumbs in the crevices of the upholstery. The tray for the water glasses was dusty. The bedding, towels, and bathroom were clean, so I looked past the other stuff. One excellent thing was the breakfast. Hot, plentiful, and lots of substantial choices. Would I stay again? It's hard to say. I loved the price, the location, and the breakfast, but I just found a lack of cleanliness to be unacceptable. I'm not asking for a 5 star hotel. Just a clean one.
