The location for the airport was unmatched Swimming pool was a big bonus Staff were helpful

Quality of the Buffet food was not up to expectations.

Breakfast was really good, room was clean and tidy. Non-plastic washroom amenities reflect the hotel's initiative towards lowering its carbon footprint, which is really appreciative. Security and Maintenance staff response was spontaneous, especially Ms. Sushmita (Security) & Mr. Shamim (Maintenance)

Overall, I had a fantastic experience during my stay at Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan, Dubai. I personally did not find anything that negatively impacted my stay, and I would like to commend the team for the overall service and experience. That said, I believe there is always room for improvement, particularly from an engineering and facilities perspective. I would like to highlight a few observations that may be worth considering as part of the hotel's longer-term improvement and refurbishment strategy. 1. Lobby Ambience and Utilization The lobby is exceptionally spacious; however, I felt that the extensive use of dark-brown textured wood finishes makes the overall space appear somewhat dark. Some of the wooden cladding panels around the circular seating area in front of the Front Office appeared to be damaged or partially uprooted. The lobby has considerable potential to be transformed into a more modern, vibrant and welcoming environment through a carefully planned refurbishment and improved use of the available space. 2. Makan Restaurant Finishes The ceiling panels in the all-day dining venue, did not appear to have a completely uniform paint finish. There were also visible stains on some wall panels and column cladding. 3. Guest Corridor Lighting and Energy Efficiency The guest corridors appeared to be relatively well illuminated, perhaps more than necessary during periods of reduced traffic. There may be an opportunity to optimize the lighting levels while maintaining guest safety and comfort. This could contribute to the hotel's ongoing efforts to reduce energy consumption and its overall carbon footprint. 4. Connecting Room Door and Acoustic Insulation I stayed in a connecting room and noticed that the interconnecting door produced noticeable knocking whenever the entrance door of either adjoining room was opened or closed.

Grand entrance/ landing design

Trash beer bottles cigarettes & packets on the veranda upon arrival. Getting up at 4 am for flight, walked from the veranda toward the pool area (fully dressed & coffee in hand) only to be accosted by a female reception staff demanding to know where I was going & sent me back to my small veranda as everywhere else was not allowed. Same staff told me no free shuttle to airport. However upon departure another staff offered me a free shuttle. Rooms need a freshen up, cushions, seating shower & side of bed stained.
