I stay here regularly as it’s walking distance to T1 at DXB. The service is excellent and the rooms feel spacious and clean. Meridien Village is close by with a great choice of restaurants and bars.

We had encountered a serious issue at Aloft, Garhoud. We had booked the room for 2 room nights (friday-sunday). Saturday after the breakfast from the hotel, we went out and came back after 2hours. By the time house keeping staff entered to our room and cleaned without seeking permission. Those guys have seen us leaving the room, but they didn't asked anything apart from greeting us. Friday night I had ordered a soup from in room dining service,so I kept the plate inside the room.i noticed it once we came back,the plate was not there. They have tucked in the bed sheet,replaced new towels. The problem is,they haven't asked a permission prior from us. I left my debit/credit cards in the table, I left my jewellery in my bag which was open and kept on the table, my laptop was kept in the table etc. I immediately called the front office and asked for an explanation, the lady who attended the call said she will check and call back. She haven't called back in 15mins ,again I called back.then the lady who attended my call said she will sent house keeping supervisor to our room. Despite apologies he didn't had any answer. If they came inside without permission to clean our room, why did they left the coffee mug in the table.?he didn't answered. Then he called up front office manager, this guy has said municipality law and World wide brand policies. However i spoke to this FO manager that since I'm working for an Aviation company, Iknow well and better about hotel policies.Then he didn't answered anything. I even kept my inners ,as we had a faith in the property that no one will come inside without permission. This was the second incident I had with Aloft properties. Really unacceptable and insulting.
