Sunday Hotel Schloss Neustadt Glewe

A very nice country house hotel set in a quiet area near a river. Our second visit here both times during a hot summer. The rooms are large with traditional furniture, plush carpets, comfortable chairs and a very restful bed. The en-suite facilities are good and the room had tea/coffee making for guests and a large TV. There is a large modern lift to all floors with occasional chairs and settees in the bay windows of the public corridors. and a lounge on the ground floor. A very good breakfast is served in the well fitted out cellar of the Schloss. Car parking is adjacent to the building and a small marina is just across the road.

At the time of our visit the Hotel was going through a change of management. The reception desk was manned only partly during the day with a telephone number to get access to staff. House keeping for guests was via a QR code, the wifi was unavailable and range of TV channels was limited. This did impact on our stay but overall the hotel was busy and these frustrations once overcome will put this nice hotel back to its previous best. It is essential for this town and the local area.

We like the location of the hotel, the nice apartments on the side of the main building for small families and a really good breakfast.

The smoking area on the side building is too close to the main entrance, therefore, the smell of cigarettes is a bit strong on the apartments next to the entrance.

Beautiful hotel, old world charm. Bonus has a lift! Excellent Breakfast in the lower lever which has a very unique atmosphere with stone walls and little nooks. Definitely would stay again.

Bed was good but not great. It would not keep me from staying again.

Its a beautiful castle, but we got accommodated in a house next to it which was nothing interesting. Plus for charger for electric car.

Coffee for breakfast is not so tasty Rooms nothing like a castle, not good pillows
