It had potential.
Stayed there when a fire alarm went off, the staff is very unprepared borderline inhumane.
Everyone was escorted out of the building children half naked wet from the swimming pool.
Only for something as small trashcan fire.
They could have handled it with much more consideration and still maintaining a safe environment for the guests.
Even after all the facilities were closed and our short stay was ruined.

Loads for the kids to do.
Could have more variation in the breakfast food options.

You can’t fault the facilities, plenty to do for the kids.
Buffet was like an unorganised cattle feed. It’s not very well maintained.

We loved the pool for the kids and there's good dining area for everyone. Pizzas were great too. Great family hotel
The shuttle buses to Disney are very packed and if you can afford 20/30 euros get a taxi it's better 😊

It was not very far away from the park.
The place is completely rundown and it was pretty dirty. Prices are ridiculous.

Location to Disney
The place is filthy and very run down. Every room and restaurant stinks. Food is horrendous. I knew it would be average but it was literally the worst.

The Explorers Hotel is in a convenient location and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
The hotel felt unclean and many appliances didn’t work.
There was mud and muck in the carpets and throughout the building. Many of the communal areas, particularly the soft play, had an offensive smell. The toilets situated across from the library restaurant also had a strong smell of urine.
It’s worth noting windows in the hotel do not have a latch and are often located above radiators which pose a risk to young children who like to climb and explore.
No lifeguards by the pool and so this meant the pool was overcrowded and at times dangerous and often families were filming their children - absolutely understandable but a bit worrying if you don’t want your child to be recorded.
Generally the hotel is very run down with chipped paintwork and broken furnishings throughout but it was the hygiene and health and safety that we found most concerning.
Staff were lovely and very helpful and this is not a reflection of their hard work.

The pool was the highlight of the hotel
Rooms were very basic and not cheap

The an esthetic was nice. The pool was fun. The rooms were spacious. The staff switched one room to one with AC when we asked after the first night. It was a great place to stay for catching a train to Paris.
It was SO hot the first night, and the window in our room didn’t open to the outside- just to another part of the hotel that was very noisy. It was miserable!

Horrible hotel and unhygienic!!!! We came back to unclean room. The cleaners didn’t clean the room and didn’t take away all the rubbish and dishes from the room when we asked them to… I suffer from OCD coming back to the room and realising that they didn’t clean the room and left everything in the room with food spilt on the floor and on my clothes made my anxiety worse and didn’t sleep all night knowing that the bed is not clean.. One of the staff member was very rude when I phoned the front desk to report this I’ve asked them several times not to raise their voice and they still continue to do this… no compensation were offered!! the manager asked us to contact booking.com as they can’t do anything about it.. terrible hotel and poor customer service!!! I will not recommend this hotel to any off my friends and family!!

The hotel was beautiful, indoor swimming pool, outdoor playpark, very clean rooms, clean towels daily, fresh buffet style breakfast
Same choice of breakfast every day, which can be boring after third day, the staff at the reception were not very helpful, everything was overpriced

Our stay at Explorers Hotel was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. The staff were unhelpful and unwelcoming, the room was uncomfortable, and the breakfast was chaotic with very little food available.
For over €300 a night, I expected basic comfort and hospitality — instead, I left stressed, exhausted, and feeling completely let down. I would not recommend this hotel.

Pool is good and open until late, price is affordable.
Arcade for kids, but arcade is very expensive.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Poor selection of beer in bars (ex no Guiness).
Pizza Restaurant is no good, breakfast buffet is lacking everything, no sausage, no bacon, no scrambled eggs ect... But Coffee is excellent.
All public areas are extremely noisy, something should be done about acoustics....
Toilet and bathroom are two seperat rooms?

A lot of activities for the children (pool, playgrounds in and outdoor, electronic game rooms); big beds and comfortable; bus to Disney is superconvinient. Perfect to go to Disney with children!
Not very clean. The dishes and cutley at breakfast where mostly dirty. Breakfast had a lot of different things but not the best quality. Windows are total usafe for a children focused hotel. They open widely with no security sistem

My kids love going there because of the pool experience. This time we stayed 5 hours in the pool. We have already stayed at Explorer's Hotel 5 or more times, and I think that only once we went to the Disney park. Towels are good, good showers, pool is clean, easy check-in and checkout, beds are ok. But having the pool available from 8h until 23h is awesome!
The restaurant area had music that was way too loud - unnecessarily loud. The toilet and bathroom doors had either a lock issue or cracked paint; on top of that, it's a shame that we now have to pay to park as guests. This is something relatively new to the hotel, but it's a shame. I understand charging for visitors, but guests should at least get a discount, It was a cheap movie and only makes the hotel get lower scores on the "value for the price paid"

The swimming area was good with warm water. I'm not sure if it is heated or not as it may have been naturally warm due to the 38 degree weather and the multiple windows. It's reasonably close to Disneyland which is just a 30 minute walk away or 5 minutes on the very crowded free shuttle bus which is available. Lots of choice on the buffet style continental breakfast or you can pay extra if you want a cooked breakfast. Pizza is cheap and cheerful if you fancy something to eat after a long day at the Disneyland park. There are other restaurants in the hotel too and I recommend the mixed grill.
There is a soft-play for the youngsters at the hotel however this was closed for the duration of my stay due to "technical difficulties" whatever that means. Some of the food at the main restaurant looked like it was cooked straight out of the freezer for example the fish and definitely the crinkle cut chips. Most of the machines in the arcade had faults on them. One of the claw machines had a constant alarm (I'm guessing a tilt alarm) which lasted the entirety of our 3 day stay so it was possibly alarming for longer. This made one of the rooms of the arcade pretty unbearable and you would think that the machine would either be reset or switched off. Most of the rooms don't have air conditioning which normally wouldn't be a problem but it was 38 degrees for two out of the three days I stayed there. Parking at the hotel isn't free unless you book directly with the hotel instead of going through a third party like Booking.com. They charge €17 per night to park which I felt should have been free as we were guests. I'm slightly nit-picking but would still recommend the hotel. I've stayed there before and I'll stay there again.

The location and also the facilities are amazing. Like it was really for family with kids.
It is not a good idea for summer. It was too hot inside the hotel room although there is an Electric fan but it is not enough. We barely sleep at night.

The pool & all kids facilities.
Lack of air conditioning throughout the hotel.

Kids come first at this hotel! Everything, even down to the carpets, has been chosen with children in mind. The kids had an absolute blast! They especially loved the swimming pool and the outdoor play area.

The worst hotel experience of my life. Do NOT come here.
It starts the moment you arrive: no one helps with the luggage, not even when you’re two moms with two small children.
As soon as you enter, it’s dirty — the carpet at reception is filthy, and the staff is unfriendly.
At the aqua park, there’s no staff supervising the slides; adults were bumping into kids on the slides. No one checks if people with skin conditions enter the pool — there was even a man with open wounds swimming. The water smells awful, like strong chlorine, and your eyes start burning within seconds. Also, you’re not allowed to bring towels from the room; you must rent theirs for €2.
Breakfast is supposedly included, but you get rotten tomatoes and very, very few options. There are no eggs at breakfast; if you want eggs, you have to go to the paid restaurant where they charge €15 per person.
The rooms? Mold in the bathroom, old, dirty, miserable rooms.
The staff is no help — absolutely no help — with anything.
We were 3 minutes late past 11:00 for checkout, and the lady at reception asked us if it really took us that long to bring our luggage from the room (like… 3 minutes??).
Do NOT go to this hotel!!!

The pool is an amazing additional amenity to this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and of a good size. Breakfast was of a good standard. Hotel clean, and I liked the dragon feature fountain downstairs. Both the shop and pool was open to 11 pm at night which was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel and go back.
The cafe food was awful, 2/10.

Friendly and helpful staff, well run, perfect for families, arcades, outdoor park area, swimming with long opening hours, soft play and themed rooms.
There could be a water dispenser without fruit in it for fussy kids at breakfast.

We had only booked this hotel as a 1 night stop over before we were transitioning to Santa Fe as we had decided to leave Paris early. We chose Explorer for the pool and great price. We wish we had stayed the WHOLE time. The kids even commented another time how much they missed explorers and asked when they could come back.
Great rooms, great service. It was so nice to have all the additional things that kids could do while they were there too. Going to a Disney Hotel was a step DOWN. I would recommend to anyone to stay here and would do so again.
We couldn't stay longer!!!

I liked that the pool opening times were 8.30am - 11pm and to accommodate the long period of time the pool was open for, there were two one hour closures of the pool for cleaning. This hotel was really great for the kids, plenty to occupy them with. Staff were pleasant and friendly. The location was great, I reckon it's less than 8 minutes to Disneyland! The beds were really comfortable.
We only had dinner and breakfast in the hotel, the food wasn't too great in my opinion. The food could have been fresher and nicer at the buffet.
The rooms could have been a little cleaner, there was dust on the shelves of the bunkbed which made it seem like the surfaces perhaps don't get wiped down as much as they should (it's not a hard to reach place).
Hairdryers in the room could be doing with an upgrade, the pipe for the air kept disconnecting and flying off. Our room fan didn't work, but this was easily rectified by moving us into another room.
The corridors consistently smelt of cigarette smoke, I assume people were smoking from their room windows and the smoke was blowing right back in and travelling through the corridors. This isn't great considering the hotel is aimed at families/children.

The facilities are brilliant for families with young children. The rooms have enough space, the swimming pool is a great feature.
The food options are very limited for families and also what is there, is expensive.

very dirty around the pool, run down rooms with poor facilities, dinner at restaurant was very expensive and very poor

Amenities were very good for kids
The noise level from speakers particularly in morning for breakfast was much too loud ..for children with sensory issues it’s very hard for them to cope with the noise level
4.0 / 10.0
1-the location was good.
2-the kids' area and facility was good.
1-The MAIN issue was the buses (transportation to Disneyland); they were extremely crowded, as they served four hotels, resulting in long wait times.
2-The facility was not clean, particularly the dining area, which was very dirty (including the tables, plates, and glasses).
3-There was nothing to eat at the complimentary breakfast, not even eggs.
7.0 / 10.0
Great pool, playgrounds, bed layout, location for Disney, free Disney shuttle, on site food variety
The soft play had seen better days. Holes in the foam and wood showing.
The Disney shuttle was VERY busy.
