A pleace to feel good

Fantastic authentic experience, just beautiful location and a place to feel great.

While the reception staff was excellent, the waiting staff in the restaurants was just not quite up to standard. There were often empty food trays at breakfast and for instance the cheese-meat platter we ordered in the restaurant crap naros, they forgot the cheese 😅 But other than that fantastic

We loved everything about Hotel Guarda Val!!! The room, the location, breakfast, etc! The staff was super kind and friendly as well. We will definitely go back soon!

We found the sauna a bit small. It would be better if there were additional or bigger saunas and spa facilities. This is the only thing to be improved from our experience.

Disappointing and not worth the money

The farmhouse vibe of the property and the outdoor hot tub

The staff seemed annoyed when you asked questions. They didn't seem genuine. The Michelin restaurant was a HUGE let down and giant waste of money. Once we were seated at our table, we waited for 29 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us or bring us even the drink menu. The food was ordinary and bland. We've eaten at plenty of beautiful restaurants all over the world and left wondering how this place earned a star. When we brought this up to the reception, their reply was "next time you should come during the week...it isn't as good on the weekend because they are busy." WHAT?!!! So maybe we should have gotten the meal for 1/2 price then. Overall we were extremely disappointed in the stay and the staff here. For the money it's just not worth it.

Was recommended to us as the best hotel stay ever, which turned out to be true

The Guarda Val had been recommended to us by a frequent traveller as the best hotel ever: it even exceeded these expectations! Who has a firing place in his room? Multiple friendly encounters with other guests, all greeting, smiling and relaxed, which is always an indication of a top hotel.

-location, charme of the whole property, the views

- general impression of the restaurants was, that prime ingredients were used, while the finished product could not fully live up to the high expectations - the service in ‘crap naros’ was chaotic and at least 5 mistakes were done, whereof one unacceptable. Beef tartare was served instead of beetroot tartare, instead of truffel fondue the also excellent classic fondue was served, our teas were brought to the wrong table, the staff forgot about our dessert and at the end we were presented with the bill, even though the GM had comped the whole dinner… - while we liked that also a number of local people were among the staff, the general level of training for restaurants at this level was clearly missing. Also the organisation of the staff and clear allocation of responsibilities needs a long way to go. - it is a pity that for such a property and location there are such shortfalls in service level. Let’s hope that our honest but well meant feedback is taken seriously and we will be able to see clear improvements.

Staying at this hotel is a real treat. From the helpfulness of staff, through the quality of food, spa treatments and the attention to detail (lived the little candles set up outside every night) its pure luxury where you can forget the world.

I wish the toilet/shower in the room had a proper door.

Das Personal war vereinzelt eher auf der unfreundlicheren Seite. Auch wenn es nur zwei Personen (Restaurant & Bar) waren, welche wirklich negativ aufgefallen sind, so hinterlassen diese dann doch einen faden Beigeschmack. Empfang und das restliche Team waren top.

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Hotelpersonal, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, ruhige Lage, sehr bequeme Betten, idealer Ausgangsort für Wander- oder Biketouren, wunderschöne Aussicht, Entspannung pur!

Vom Abendessen waren wir enttäuscht (kaum gewürztzt). Beim Servicepersonal und der Einrichtung besteht noch gewisses Potenzial. Leider mussten wir wegen einer Hochzeitsfeier die Bar vorzeitig verlassen. Es fehlt ein Aufenthaltsraum für die Hotelgäste.

Wunderschönes Alpstallhotel mit wirklicher Orignialatmosphäre Alp und Luxus. Sehr gutes Morgenessen, reizende Bar, Wellness auf der Alpwiese mit Dorfbrunnen zum Abkühlen des mit Kohle geheizten Zubers. Alles duftet nach Alp, nach Natur, nach Stimmung, nach Abenteuer, nach Wellness, nach Luxus. Feines Sternerestaurant oder Original Alp Restaurant mit einheimischen Spezialitäten. Sehr freundlicher Service mit Charme, viele Angestellte kommen vom nahen Italien.
