    Had a great time at Ibis Shoreditch this weekend. The room was amazing & so were staff. Special thanks to Tai, Hema & Kshitiz. Would recommend and can’t wait to come back.

    The hotel has the basic facilities and near Aldgate East station. I will book this hotel when I visit London again, mainly for its value for money.

    I found the location very convenient, especially being on the Circle Line and easy to reach from St Pancras/King’s Cross. The hotel itself was perfectly adequate. The front desk was friendly, and as we arrived before check-in and left after check-out, it was very useful that we could store our luggage safely and free of charge. The room was small but comfortable enough. The bed was quite firm, which I personally liked, and I slept well. Considering the central location, there was surprisingly little noise from London outside, and I did not hear the neighbours either. I did not book breakfast, but there are plenty of good cafés and bakeries nearby, plus a supermarket next door. There were a few issues with the room. The bathroom felt a little cheaply made and the toilet flush did not work properly. Although the room had been cleaned, there were some stray hairs in the shower and on the bedding that were not mine. The shower itself was fine, with plenty of hot water and decent pressure, although I would have preferred it to be a little stronger. My biggest concern was the strong sewage smell from the bathroom sink whenever the tap was turned on. It made me hesitant to drink the tap water. The downstairs lobby toilet also consistently smelled strongly of sewage, despite being relatively clean. I ended up using it several times because our room toilet was not flushing properly.
