"Lovely greeting on arrival even though it was 1.30am in the morning. I was expecting the room would be small as advised on line, however it was absolutely fantastic. Beautifully clean and tidy, lovely..."

Surrounding street area dirty with multiple rough sleepers outside rear entrance of hotel.

Good location, cheap accommodation, baggage storage, lovely room staff
Noisy at night, only one lift available for 18 floors, small but that’s what we booked
7.0 / 10.0
The location is very good, super central, only a few walking minutes away from the Skytower. We even had a direct view on the tower from our room.
The bed nearly killed my back. It was too soft and felt like a hammock. Also a table or desk, however small, would have been nice. There is no seating in the room other than the bed, so that’s where you have to eat and work. Even in the shared lobby there are only low tables, nothing for working with a laptop. Since in New Zealand even cheap backpacking hostels come with communal sitting and eating areas equipped with proper tables, I found this a bit underwhelming.
Also for two people with two suitcases it was problematic to even walk to the bathroom. It was more of a climb over the suitcases which had to lie on the floor as there was nowhere to store the clothes, so we couldn’t just stow the suitcases away.

Lovely greeting on arrival even though it was 1.30am in the morning. I was expecting the room would be small as advised on line, however it was absolutely fantastic. Beautifully clean and tidy, lovely comfortable bed. Even had a great view of Sky Tower especially lit up at night as well as harbour glimpses. Price was excellent and room was everything you need for a short stay. Staff were great and very helpful. I would definitely stay here if I return to Auckland in the future and I recommend for single traveller or couple.
Everything was great, I could not really fault anything especially for the price and location. The location was right in the middle of the cbd.

size of room and toilet too small, no choice even if I want to upgrade to a bigger size room. All room same size.

Everything was amazing. Just one downside was I had reported the TV for not working and nothing was done about it. Otherwise, I liked my stay at this hotel.
For the staff to be proactive when an issue is reported.

Location
Receptions staff except for the Indian gentle man were all unapproachable, don’t smile, look at you, say hi, unfriendly, don’t speak or acknowledge you So, I moved to another hotel. House keeping staff much more friendly as was Carlos from the Chinese maintenance man. They should be front of house

Excellent location - easy access to the major sites in Auckland, included breakfast had good variety
Left lift wouldn’t work half the time, windows don’t do much to block out city noise at night, no on-site parking
8.0 / 10.0
Great location - right in the centre of the city ( off Queen Street) so easy walk to retail outlets including supermarket and cafes.

Nothing I liked about ibis auckland
parking at Wilson and paid, which was not part of the initial discussion over the phone, language barrier, room was too small for the price paid, too loud at night, no air conditioning, had to open the doors to let air in at night, but that became annoying since the nearby buildings and pubs downstairs were noisy. The shower and toilet were too small and dirty. No power point and mirror for dress.

Check in was super simple! The room had everything we needed including a stove top, mini fridge and microwave! There were tea and coffee refreshments and the shower pressure was amazing! The bed was super comfortable and the aircon worked so well in the hot summer heat!

Location, rooms were exactly how they were advertised, and the served the exact purpose.. If you are needing a place that is simply just a bed and a bathroom for not much money, this place is perfect..
The guy on the desk was rude.. There is not really another way to describe it.. I asked about parking, he just flicked the notice on the desk, I told him the process seems confusing, the girls standing behind me seemed confused, he barked something in a thick Asian accent, and went back to playing on his phone.. By the way.. advertised parking $20 per night at a Wilson's park for 24 hours, The notice on the desk stated $30 as a hotel special, with instructions not to pay at the parking building... Standard 24 hours was $30, and you cant leave without paying... However, parking across the lane way at another Wilson's park was $17 for 12 hours, starting at 4pm.. After 5 pm the hotel park was closed, you could only leave.. The other park seems like its available 24 hours..

There was honestly nothing to like here
The hallway leading up to the room smelt musty and damp. The rooms were like shoe boxes and smelt horrible, the lino floors were spongy and sticky. The balcony door was screwed shut so you couldn't open to air out the room. All round not a great experience, the stench was so bad was hard to breathe. Most definitely not worth 160ish a night!!

The bed was comfy, the location was perfect and the water was hot.
The room we had was quite small and old.The bathroom had quite a high step up and was very small. We had a cooktop and microwave but no cooking utensils, plates, cultery etc if we wanted to heat or cook.
For the price it was ok.

Free wifi, $20 breakfast, cheap 24 hour car parking, reception area free hot drinks and cool water, great seating arrangement!! They had two extra rolls of toilet paper, the soap smelt amazing, beds were clean and comfy! Right in the city close to many many many places.

Friendly and helpful staff especially during the early morning waiting for shuttles/coaches. Breakfast was very tasty with decent options for various food needs. Lovely waiting/reception area. Perfect location.
Would have liked better tv options and bathroom amenities.

Easy to get around CBD but there is alot of road construction going on at the moment. I love the little balcony as I love to open the door the get that fresh crisp air coming through. Very very compact which I didn't mind at all.
Road construction and the band in a bars downstairs. I could hear it from the 14th floor. Rainy days didn't help also.
Lots of homeless, drunk and tattooed people near the accommodation early hours in the morning when I arrived. Lovely reception man came outside to help with my luggage. He was so so pleasant - give him a salary raise!

Central location in Auckland CBD just off the main street. Small room with floor to ceiling windows and a small balcony, had a kitchette, the reverse cycle heater was great. Clean and tidy room and bathroom. Laundry facitity available. Hair drier and crockery/cutlery available on request. Basic, no frills room great value for the price.
No luggage rack to keep suitcase. There was small and limited space to keep clothes.
7.0 / 10.0
Convenient location. Easy to walk to the places we wanted to be. Was what we needed it to be. A place to sleep - nothing overly fancy
The bed wasn’t super comfortable and the walls were quite thin so could hear a lot of what was happening near us.

City central. Basic inexpensive accommodation for our short 2 night stay . The unit was clean, towels changed on day 2 and comfortable beds.
There was a kitchenette with hot plates and a microwave but no toaster was available. Can only guess reasons why, didn't bother to ask.

Great location, basic but clean and tidy
Very noisy at night (Saturday night). Parking was a little confusing. The P809 information didn’t really mean anything. Would have been better to say access on Durham, two Wilson Parking entrances on opposites sides of each other, select the one that has barrier arms!

Location was very well suited to our needs.
Cramped living space.
8.0 / 10.0
The convenience and affordability was fantastic. I eventually got value for money. The staff were helpful.
No negative surprises, minor comments are no handwash in the bathroom and little space to use the ironing board. However, this does not detract from the impressive value for money.
