Pestana Porto Santo Premium All Inclusive Beach & SPA Resort

I was the 2nd time in this hotel and I would say this experience was better than last time when I came with my husband :) I got the room with the nice view in a quiet area The staff was really nice to to me The hotel is located by the beautiful beach The hotel territory is well maintained I liked the selection of food in the restaurant, lots of fish, meat and veggies

The main restaurant is super busy and noisy, would be nice if it was bigger and people didn’t need to queue, the time slots don’t really work because nobody follows :) It’s weird that spa area with swimming pool for adults is only working until 6pm. There are not many stuff to do for people without kids.

Really poor food hygiene and cleaning in outside bar

The staff was friendly and the animation team was great. The location was superb, the beach is 10/10, the pools and the gardens are very well maintained. The room was spacious and clean. There were a lot of chairs around the pool.

The food at the buffet (and the on-location restaurant opened at the time) was simply not good overall. It looked like the food was served on a day and re-served again on the next days. One of us unfortunately got food poisoning early in our stay. Coffee was no good. We went in October, and our experience, compared to the other surprisingly positive reviews, made us wonder if the quality of the food was because this was low season. Sunbeds on the beach were not included and had to be reserved at 27 euros per day (!). I would say this resort is more family-oriented. Half or more of the guests had children with them. Some of the areas marked as 18+ (like the spa/hammam/sauna area) were not enforced; there were children making those areas not-so-relaxing.
