Stayed for 2 nights. I received an enthusiastic welcome from the reception staff with clear instructions to aid my stay. The room was large with ample room to move around. All your needs were covered from tea and coffee to shower and hand gels to moisturiser in the bathroom.
Food in the restaurant was of a good quality with the staff providing a quick and knowledgeable service.
The overriding experience was how the staff from reception to the room attendant made your staff so pleasurable. Thanks.

Now for context I've stayed in at least 20 hotels last year+each and everyone has been good or great but this one really disappointed. Insially the smell of chlorine as you enter the expansive reception area was not very welcoming a very pungent. Rooms nice enough,spacious and actually clean.
Biggest issue was the breakfast....now ok we were down at 9.40 (breakfast served till 10am) but having asked for scrambled egg and being told it wasn't available(???)yet each of us were given a fried egg? Surely the chef could scramble said eggs;is this not what culinary school is for??? There were only 4 other people in the whole breakfast room not like they were run of their feet? The rest of the fry was so over cooked and leathery it was embarrassing.I appreciate it's the end of the breakfast serving but really?? Heard good things about the McWilliam and was really looking forward to my stay but I'd defo not eat there again.

Lovely atmosphere and rooms spacious and quite. Staff lovely and very friendly particularly so from the team members in leisure centre
