Casa de Campo Sao Rafael - Turismo Rural

We had an enjoyable stay with our family of 4. The facilities were clean & tidy & staff were kind. Was a short drive to Obidos which we absolutely loved.

The mattresses on the sofa were very hard (for the kids).

The property is located 5 min driving from Óbidos, 10 min from caldas da rainha plus 20min to Peniche and 25min to Nazaré. It’s located in a quiet place. All I wanted to have a wonderful weekend with my mum to recharge batteries. we fell in love with Casa de Campo. My mum fell in love with the garden and roses 🤗I will return for sure. The breakfast was simple and nice, the way we like it but the guest can choose the way the breakfast is served. The staff were 5 stars and always available to answer our questions.

Excellent staff couldn’t do enough for us. Beautiful apartment/cottage grounds are fantastic. Close to the city. You couldn’t find a better spot.

I would have given a higher ranking to this hotel except for one big problem. The place itself was OK, even with a nice swimming pool. The unit we had which was a whole apartment with kitchen was well equipped. The staff were very attentive and polite. Breakfast was served in the room and was very good although it would have been nice to also have eggs on the menu.

What spoiled everything was the musty smell of the apartment. We found that the walls were peeling in a number of places where mould had set in and this was causing the smell. Almost every wall, including next to the bed, had peeling mouldy walls. When I complained they explained that the apartments had a moisture problem and they intended to repair this in the future. However, they did give me a reduction in the price (approx 25%). They also didn't charge me for port wine I had drunk. It's a great shame about this as otherwise they would have got a much higher mark. They told me that the regular rooms in the main building didn't have this problem
