We liked the location it is much quieter than staying in Funchal, also it has small promenade, access to the stony beach. We liked the food during breakfasts and dinners, it had variety and every time found something that tasted well. The room was spacious and with nice ocean view. Also, the pool and the area were nice for relax.
Our first impression of the room was not good because of the old sofa and chairs. The room could be much cozier just by replacing them and adding some cozy elements. The first look was quite disappointing, but we stayed there and used a blanket to cover the sofa, which made the room feel much nicer 😀
On 23 June, there was a celebration of Saint John, so there were many locals around the hotel, and the beach had a stage, DJ, and other elements of party. It was nice, but the hotel could have informed us that the celebration would last until 2 a.m. In the rooms overlooking the beach, it was not possible to sleep because of the noise. If we had known this in advance, we could have joined the party outside instead of trying to sleep and feeling annoyed.

Nice location, good size of the room, comfortable bed, heated pool, rent a car service at the hotel.
Basic breakfast, old furniture, very poor dinner.

food is terrible!! its like a cruise ship . also a magic show also like a cruise ship. Have a historian come andctalk aboutvthe history or off the beaten places to visit
