The breakfast consists of a wide variety of food and everything was very delicious. The bed was very comfortable - best sleep. :) There is a kettle in the room with tea and coffee, which is very useful on cold Finnish days. :) The location of the hotel is very good, 7 minutes walk from the Central Station (trains go to the airport every 10 minutes, travel time 27 minutes), the area is pleasant, safe, the main attractions are within walking distance. For a one-day city trip from Helsinki, I recommend: Turku (2 hours by train), Tampere (2 hours by train), Tallinn (2 hours by ferry). :)

Room was excellent. Comfortable, clean and perfect for solo travellers. The sauna was nice. Being private and so cheap was an added extra. The location was handy too. Nice and close to the city square, I walked absolutely everywhere! But if you do want public transport, it is t too far from the hotel either. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Hotel Arther is a very affordable accommodation near the main train station in Helsinki. It's an easy 7min walk with luggage. It is very close to Senate Square, Market Square and the promenade. I had a twin bed and it was quite comfortable.
My hotel room was rather outdated and had a musty smell. I booked a single; it was very small and it only had room for my bag to be opened in one spot on the floor. A tiny detail but they have to fix their hand soap and shampoo/soap in the rooms. They are very difficult to dispense and dirty.
