The Coast House

The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms were clean and it was very cozy.

I feel as though the room we had was a bit cramped/small, we didn’t mind this but it felt a bit claustrophobic at times.

The vast majority of the stay was excellent. Andrew was extremely helpful e.g. explaining MiPermit to me, helping with the luggage on our departure. One aspect which was unfortunate for Ann, my wife, was the stairs. She does have difficulty with these in our own home, and they were extensive to our room on the second floor. However, the pluses far outweighed the effort required for her to go up and down, The location was fabulous, the provision of coffee, tea, chocolate, toilet rolls etc. each day was very generous!! The room and ensuite were spacious. The heatwave (June 2026) was mitigated by our being able to open the window of the room and let the air flow from the skylight in the ensuite which had been left open for that purpose. One felt that so many aspects of the welcome had been carefully thought through in order to maximise the welcome and convenience for each guest.s.

See above. Also the bed was rather low. Again, this was our particular problem as we prefer a higher bedstead/mattress.

Staff, accommodation, breakfast, location, high standards.

No parking.

Good location. Breakfast included. Nice communal lounge. Friendly atmosphere. Nice view across the road to the sea.

Our room (7) was a standard double but the bed felt very small. The mattress was uncomfortable as were the pillows. We were due to stay 2 nights but moved on after one as we had such a bad nights sleep. Bathroom door gave zero privacy into the room. At this price point you have to be reasonable with your expectations-We just chose the wrong room! Worth noting that most parking from 8am to 8pm is restricted to 3 hours free and then you need to pay!
