The place was beautiful, in a great location, right down the side of the building there is a path that leads straight to the coast. 2 minute walk! The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food and drinks were amazing. The room we stayed in had everything you needed and was very clean.
The windows are paper thin, you could hear every foot step and car on that stoney carpark, it genuinely sounded like it was in the room. The same issue with voices of guests leaving the restaurant late at night. Also, there is no curtain, just blinds, so the sunlight woke me up at 6am, not ideal when you want a lie in. Really clean and high standards of hygiene.
I don’t understand why there is no reception desk - I understand the concept and often stay in self check in hotels in cities but for a holiday area this doesn’t fit. It would improve the hotel experience 100% to have reception desk and a human welcoming. Even the staff in the restaurant can’t help you even though they actually want to help as they were so nice. I imagine the kind of people visiting this hotel would be grateful for someone on site to help/welcome/assist with questions. Seems like a money saving concept - doesn’t work here.

Lovely comfortable and clean room. Nice welcome pack.
We were at the front of the hotel on the first floor and it was extremely noisy from the gravel drive and main road. So much so we didn’t get a good nights sleep.
