Very warm welcome and extremely helpful staff. I’d highly recommend the dining, the meal we had was beautifully presented, delicious and we'll priced. Breakfast was just as enjoyable and we’ll definitely be back for another visit.

Beautiful property, sympathetically restored, interior furnishings reflected the colours of the landscape. High quality throughout, very comfortable and welcoming. Staff attentive especially Brett, food amazing, fresh and well presented.

A pool of delight in the lakes

A warm atmospheric country hotel set in stunning countryside. We were welcomed by the charismatic dryly witty and very accommodating host, I hope he'll forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think his name was Brett, who catered for our every need. The drinks were expertly prepared, and the food was excellent.

These comments are just meant to pass on as feedback as our stay was good. Keys for the room were too large to fit in a pocket or bag. Also our room (7) was v noisy I think maybe from the kitchen but this stopped late evening. Also the blind in th3 bathroom needs cleaning or replacing as has brown splashes on.

Staff were lovely, couldn’t do anymore for you. The food was unreal! The restaurant, bar and lounge were all modern with an open fire. I loved the wallpaper in every room.

Weekend away for a wedding!

Lovely hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and cosy. The shower was amazing! The breakfasts and evening meals were exceptional and very filling. The conservatory dining room is very nice. Tables are spaced out, so you don't feel like you're sat with strangers like other places where they pack in as many as they can. The sitting room has plenty of comfortable chairs and even had an open fireplace, which we loved. Overall we had a really great weekend and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Ideal for a short break away from the crowds

We liked the contemporary twist on a traditional building with the bar in the old stables and the new modern extension for the dining room. The food was excellent and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. The room, although small was very comfortable and warm with plenty of provisions, tea coffee etc and real milk. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.

Simply incredible - probably the best value for money hotel I've ever stayed at.

Everything about this place was brilliant. The staff were lovely, the breakfast incredible, the value for money on the rooms was amazing (it was such a big room and bathroom it felt like staying at home rather than a hotel). Location is great and free EV charging is an added bonus. Will 100% be returning.

Ravenstone lodge short break

We stayed 3 nights ,on arrival we were met by the manager Brett ,who was a really friendly helpful funny guy,he was very knowledgeable about the area ,he really couldn't do enough for us during our stay

There is nothing you couldn't like about the lodge ,the atmosphere in the lodge was exceptional ,we met lots of other guests during our stay ,who were also very friendly.I have to also like too say how amazing the menu was,food was so tasty and also plenty of drinks to choose from,I would recommend the lodge to anyone ,we would definitely be back ,hopefully sooner then later,I would like to say well done too all the staff and guests ,thank you for our short break was the best experience ever.

A cosy stay in a lovely setting.

Room was warm and comfortable. The shower was good and heated towel rail very efficient. We enjoyed sitting reading in the guest lounge, reading in front of a roaring log fire. Breakfast was good for choice, and the view from the dining room was beautiful. We didn't have dinner there on either day we stayed. Neither of us are very able to walk far, but it was lovely to drive around the area, with times of getting out to see the views.

The room was a little small and a bit cramped to move around. Other than that, all was good.

Relaxing stay. Brilliant staff.

The Ravenstone was a lovely place in great surroundings. A great strong stone to other parts of the lakes. The room was clean and tidy with the usual offerings of tea coffee and some biscuits. The bed was very comfortable and warm. The view from the window was nice. Views from the dining area were astounding. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Even offering help to bring the luggage in. The food I ate was spot on. The fillet steak was melt in your mouth tender, probably the best I've eaten. Although not the cheapest. The pickled onion rings were an added tasty bonus. Sitting in the lounge in the evening was very relaxing with games to play and music playing in the background. (Some music questionable 😊) There was no urgency for you to leave the lounge so staff could lock up or anything like that. They went home and just asked you to turn the lights out when you left the lounge. All in all, it was a very relaxing place to be. We would definitely return to the Ravenstone but probably upgrade the room.

Very welcoming staff, incredible view, delicious food!

The view was fantastic, so much so that we ensured we booked our evening meal at the hotel to enjoy it (this wasn't initially our plan). And we're so glad we did because the food was exceptional (the steak was perfect). The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Bret looked after us from the moment we arrived; we felt incredibly comfortable.

The room we booked was quite small, but wasn't a deal-breaker for us.
