Perfectly placed less than 2 miles from Bassenthwaite and 6 miles from Keswick, this attractive cottage, set over two levels, is ideal for couples, small families or friends looking for a restful rural retreat. Located at the foot of magnificent Skiddaw, you are perfectly placed to take advantage of the outdoor opportunities that the Lake District offers. Bring your water sports gear and head down to the lake at Scarness Bay to enjoy some kayaking or paddleboarding. Less than 3 miles away, you can explore pretty Mirehouse and Gardens, a lovely spot for a walk, or for wildlife enthusiasts, Dodd Wood is a perfect spot to look out for osprey and red squirrels. Hikers can discover many different landscapes, with Aira Force waterfall, Skiddaw and Walla Crag all within 20 miles. Keswick is perfect for a lazy day with plenty of shops, galleries, cafes and breathtaking views to enjoy.

The downstairs has a contemporary feel, with light, calming hues, elegant furnishings, and decor that reflects the surrounding natural beauty. The lounge area has plenty of seating and is ideal for enjoying a lazy afternoon tea or for popping a log on the wood burner and watching your favourite box set on the Smart TV in the evening. You’ll find the dining table sits alongside thoughtful touches and decor, creating a lovely dining space. One step down from the lounge/diner is the contemporary kitchen that features all the appliances you need to whip up some tasty treats during your stay. Head upstairs and you’ll find a splendid king-size bedroom with charming exposed wooden ceiling beams and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a lovely twin with plenty of natural light, and both bedrooms have plenty of storage. Completing the interior is a sleek bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.
Wander outside to enjoy your naturally split area of over 1/2 an acre of the beautiful garden shared with the neighbouring cottage . The children can play on the lawn area, while the adults can relax on the private outdoor furniture with a drink and admire the breathtaking views of the fells. Private parking is available for up to four cars.
