Mercure Convention Center Ancol

Room is spacious and clean. Staffs are very nice and helpful.

The building already old, but the room and bed are okay. Also the amenities. The price IDR 1.250.000 for superior twin without breakfast are not worthy. You can definitely get IDR 700.00 hotels and that already included with breakfast. We expect to swim in the pool for adult, but again, we dissappointed. The pool is not as big as in the picture. It is also a bit old, and full with parents that brought their kids to swim there. In addition to that, all these parents are sits overlooking to the pool like they're watching a movie. I decided not swim as this is really uncomfortable. The hotel management should restricted this practise, considering how small the pool is. The parents should bring their kids to swim at kids pool. We also managed to look around the hotel area, especially the back, only to find the dirty, unmaintenanced beach and no greeneries at the back of the hotel. Instead, there is a jet ski academy that blocked guest to directly walked to the beach. Its so sad situation considering this hotel used to be a nice hotel in Ancol area. I would say, please the management, use the money you get from the guest to taking care of the facility, such as pool and your backyards. If it stay like this, your business will not be sustain.

The hotel is kids friendly the reason I chose it and just in front of fauna-land, easy access by feet. Facilities for kids such as indoor playgrounds, games, sand pit, fish pond, swimming pool. Breakfast is so tasty

Hotel guests were not informed that the ticket of Ancol entrance had to be purchased before. Although I informed them we were going to arrive at midnight. So when we were trying to enter we were refused at Ancol gate.. and available to purchase only online but they only accept payment through Indonesian mobile banking app. Which is tricky for someone who doesn’t live here. At the end I had to beg the security to let us in. I informed matter this upon arrival. The front office at Mercure hotel given us the room with main room light broken, when I called them back they sent me engineer, it was 1am. We were so tired after 30+ hours journey. I was hoping to get the room changed or upgraded straight away. Instead i had to wait engineer to fix so I sent him back. There was no follow up the next day from the hotel. Or nice gesture. Drinking water was not topped up unless you asked And there was the cockroach on the last night of our stay, where we had to sleep that moment. The manager came and ask if we want new room, but compensation will be better at this point.
