フロントや部屋の雰囲気は昔の宿屋的な雰囲気を残しつつも、ビジネスホテルのような設備・備品が整っていた。 館全体にある美術品・調度品が歴史ある旅館の雰囲気を感じさせる。 歴史ある倉庫がある運河？沿いにあり、それを見下ろせる眺望もよい。
駅からはちょっと歩く距離。 オートロックではない。 古びた部分はそこそこある。 大浴場のシャワーヘッドを掛ける位置が低い。 どれも自分には気にならない程度のことだが。

Zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam personeel. De eigenaar spreekt heel goed Engels en gebruikt ook begroetingen in andere talen. Hij is ook heel actief en behulpzaam in de ryokan. Wij kregen extra lange futons en dekbedden.
