Satisfactory centrally located tiny room in a friendly hotel

Beds are comfortable, room has everything 1-2 person(s) need, staff are helpfull, accessibility is good and location is really central.

Rooms are tiny, pillows terrible, shower water almost flows to the carpet in the room.

We’ve stayed at another Cabinn with the same experience. The rooms and bath are tiny especially for two people with suitcases. But the hotel is much less expensive than most anything else besides a hostel, so worked for us, a retired couple. The staff were great, the bed very good, the location perfect near everything and the room was quiet after we requested a change. The first room was in the path of breakfast goers and would have been noisy in the AM. The room was fairly well soundproofed. And there was a tea/ coffee maker in the room.

Just the six of the room, but we opted for this hotel regardless.

Smallest room & especially bathroom that I’ve ever seen, adding one more chair would’ve helped since the room is for 2 (but I don’t know where it would’ve been kept), a hair dryer would’ve helped

Had to park 1/2 mile away. Not told that the private parking was full, even though we booked an hour before arrival. Kept awake by screeching sea gulls most of the night.

Ok for a quick stay

Central and a good starting spot for exploring the city. Beds was fine.

To get to the hotel by car was difficult. Closed streets, tried multiple angles. After calling the reception we learned that they had to manually open the road. This should have been documented in the instructions beforehand. One towel was dirty and had stains on it.

It was in a great location, very clean, nice staff and generally a great atmosphere in the communal areas.

The shower did not work unless the tap was running at the same time which seems like a big waste of water. It also took us around 10 minutes to even figure out how to turn the shower on in the first place because the shower did not have handle, it was the same handle as the one that controlled the sink as well.

it was very nicely decorated

We specifically chose cabinn and this room over the competitors, because of its large space. But when we checked in yesterday, we were forcefully swapped into the pent house, which was much smaller, and even worse the balcony let in cold air and noise from the bars downstairs. We did not sleep well at all, as a consequence of the room condition and the fact that we did not get notified in advance at all and was forced to swap room late at night. The receptionist at night asked us to speak to the staff on duty in the morning, who attempted placated us with two bottles of water (“Sorry for the room swap, but you have taken two bottles of water so let’s just call it a deal“) This is such a mockery. They further directed us to email the hotel manager for further follow up because they themselves cannot handle it. The hotel manager did not respond the email until four days later, of course, after two emails asking. Wen we finally did get a reply, the tone was stiff without any remorse. " Thank you for your email. We have had a closer look at your reservation. And you have had a room, same category as you reservation. And therefore we will not compensate due to room types. We are in center of Aarhus most of our house sides do have cafees and restaurtants at each sides. Have a nice day." This of course only angered me further and I have to draft a third email with an extra harsh tone before getting a proper response detailing the two different room types. The matter was resolved eventually after fierce exchanges of emails. Again, technical hiccups do occur and rooms we booked could run out sometimes. But at least let us know in advance instead of leaving us no choice but to make do at eleven at night. But the staffs could at least be somehow more respectful and professional.

The upper bed of my room was not comfortable. The duvet was too heavy and it was too warm. While showering, some water could go out.

The location is really great. There are a lot of places, such as shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is pretty cosy.

The bed in the room was rather narrow. I should have upgraded the room, but I did not know that before I checked in.
