Great garden rooms, good parking

I am a bread person so I liked the bread choices plus with the butter and choices of spread.
It could've been better if there were different menus everyday. Having the same menu everyday was a bit boring. And also there was no egg on the buffet that you still need to ask the kitchen staff to cook one for you.

The hotel is very beautiful and well maintained.
In spring and summer, thanks to the outdoor facilities and the garden rooms, it must be especially lovely.
It is located in the old town, and walking to the historic city center is very easy.
During winter, it is recommended to choose a room in the main building rather than in the garden.
The hotel appears to have a very good restaurant (although I did not dine there personally), as it is very busy every day, especially with locals, who certainly know best.
Our room had three large windows, and when we opened the curtains it was filled with natural light.
There is also parking available.*
Finally, the rooms are very warm and comfortable.
I did notice some issues regarding cleanliness.
Housekeeping appeared to be rather superficial, and during our five-night stay the bed linens were not changed. In the children’s room, the sheets were changed once, after we specifically requested it.
The rooms also did not always seem to be thoroughly vacuumed.
The garden rooms were not ideal for winter, and there was also a concern regarding security, as a door at the back of the hotel, providing access through the garden, remained open until 11:00 p.m., allowing direct access to these rooms.
The breakfast was relatively expensive at €30 per person.
The hotel does offer parking, and from the day of check-in it is possible to reserve a space for €30 per day, which is reasonable for the city. However, when returning late in the evening, reserved spaces were sometimes occupied by restaurant guests, requiring a short wait until a proper space became available.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, with a few areas that could be improved.

Nice location. Lovely suite at the back of the property.
There was no door to separate toilet for privacy. Unfortunately, the upstairs occupant decided to enjoy the wonderful bathtub (in the bedroom) in the middle of the night. Cue lots of different running water sounds.

Location was great. Lovely staff
Cost of breakfast was pricey especially if you could not or did not want to have the more extravagant chocolate foundation or Prosecco.

The room was a good size for two single friends travelling together. Appreciated the extra touches e.g. coffee/tea, water, bar fridge, shampoo, hand soap, body wash etc. The breakfast was very delicious and the team works hard to provide quality service.

Very good beds! The room was clean and had a lot of character. 5 minute walk from “Drijver” the beginning of the tourist area with all the hotspots
The fact that whole of Bruges is charging ridiculous prices was a bit of a shock for me. The Hotel is no exception. 30 euro per day for the parking and 30 euro p.p. for breakfast is mind-boggling… but if that is not an issue for you, go for it!

Unable to contact a night porter face to face in the evening when we couldn't find our room.

Clean
Staff grumpy, hotel lacked atmosphere. Never anyone at the front desk. Rooms were dark, furniture a bit worn. A bit disappointing

Lovely quiet hotel. We were in the garden rooms which were warm and cosy.
Could access rooms via the garden or through the main hotel.
Owner and staff very welcoming and friendly
We had an issue that our room wasn't cleaned when we had asked for help with a broken cup. Informed reception and they arranged for a deeper clean to ensure no sharp bits left. This did not happen despite the cleaners signing to say they done it. ( contracted cleaning company used!) However the owner immediatley sorted it when we reported it.
Twin beds pushed together...although comfortable and quality bedding they moved in the night when you turned as on tiled floors.
Also lovely bathroom but bath very high to step into and out of. No anti slip mat in bath which made me slip. No proper handle/ bar to hold on to either. Not good for someone with arthritis needing to lift hips past their comfort.

Location is very central. We were within walking distance to everything. Only 15 minutes walk from train station. The rooms were so quite and clean. Beds very comfortable.

The decor and street view of the room where very cool and amazing
The toilet did not have a door, also some pillows had old blood stains. For a 4 star hotel, expected better.

Lovely hotel in a quiet part of the old town. Staff is very friendly as well. The location is away from the crowded center but close enough to sites and restaurants.
Nothing comes to mind

The rooms were modern and super comfortable! We loved our stay. Every attention to detail was made and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the beginning. The hotel was also incredibly close to the center Markt but far enough away that it was peaceful from the crowds.
The room was close to the road which did mean we could hear people if they were being loud at night or driving past.

Lovely hotel, very quiet, fab room. Extremely helpful person when checking in that night and ensured my cycle was stored safely.
Very unpleasant and rude man on reception. I did not require breakfast but I did want a cup of tea. I asked the lady at breakfast if that was possible. She went off to ask and came back with my tea. I didn't expect it for free but neither did I expect to be charged 30 euros. When I checked out the vulgar man on reception says it clearly states there is a charge for breakfast. I explained I was aware of that and had asked the person on duty about a cup of tea. He became quite aggressive and said if i didnt pay he would call the Police. He eventually relented when I mentioned it would make a interesting review, but it turns out he did charge me. 30 euros isn't worth stressing over but his aggressive and nasty manner as well as an underhand way of taking payment is poor reflection on a very nice hotel and undermines the effort by the pleasant man the previous evening.

Only 10-15 mins walk from the train station, this hotel is the right side of town if arriving by train. It’s located down a quiet street, whilst also being 5 mins walk from the centre. We were lucky enough to have good weather and enjoyed relaxing in the hotel garden after a days sightseeing.
Drinks at the hotel/mini bar are expensive. But similar to any hotel.

The location is great, the rooms are cozy and quiet, breakfast is nice.
There was only a ceiling rain shower head in the bathroom and no handheld shower head, which made it a bit uncomfortable to take a shower.

We booked to arrive on the Friday night, however, due to the unfortunate event of Heathrow closing and no flights, which the Hotel were aware of, we still lost out as the Hotel would not refund us for the one night.
We were upgraded to a standard room (from basic), which was based within the internal building of the hotel itself. When we saw the rooms in the garden I think I would have preferred one of the those especially with a garden view.
We didn't part-take in breakfast due to the expense of it, plus on reflection we had from our point of view much better brunches outside the hotel for the money.
On check-out we over-paid the city tax, albeit an extra night for the night we did not stay due to the flights, but its the principle.
Staff were accommodating and pleasant, trouble was, its hard to make up for something when you start of with a negative perspective and not much makes up for it.
Bruges was nice, if we go back we'l stay more central.
Loss of a night stay due to factors beyond our control.

We ( my husband and I, my adult son and his girlfriend and my adult daughter, had a 3 night stay for my husbands 70th Birthday. We had 2 junior suites and a superior double in the main house. All of the rooms were beautifully spacious, well decorated, and very clean. Soft fluffy robes, slippers and gorgeous toiletries.
The reception staff were helpful and provided us with a map and information about interesting areas to visit.
The hotel was in a great location, in wonderfully tranquil quiet street yet only a 15/20 minute walk to the main Belfort square.
We did not experience the breakfast, so cannot comment on it. However we did feel that at €30 a head so €150 for our family it seemed a little expensive.
There were only 2 minor issues with the rooms, firstly selection of pods with the coffee machine were a little hit and miss! And there were rarely sufficient creamers!! And secondly the room came with only 1 bottle of complimentary water, which I feel was just filled by the tap as the bottle did not look that clean! It was not exchanged on the 2nd day in any of our three rooms. When my son asked at reception - he was told that it would be an additional charge !!! we purchased 2lt bottled water for all three rooms from a supermarket on the main square. As we used this to fill the coffee machine reservoir. As it was very awkward trying to fill it from the bathroom sink taps!

Location was excellent - dinner in Restaurant Den Heerd was exceptional - de Head Waiter and staff were extremely efficient, friendly and forthcoming. The covered outside terrace is exceptional in style and comfort.
Reception staff on arrival and staff was correct but not welcoming - pure factual - a bit disappointing for such level of property.

This hotel is a cheat; they won’t let you check-in if you reach after 11 pm; we were 20 minutes late due to traffic and and they refused admission. Booking.com also didn’t help in getting refund. I’m evaluating my legal options under BE law against booking and hotel both.
