Liked the hotel for its location and comfort

1. No bottles of water in the room 2. Shower dodgy…rubber tube linking tap to shower head twisted and had to be held while trying to shower. Super awkward 3. Not enough plugs by bedside to charge phones (had to unplug bedside lamp) 4. Also one plug not functioning? Tried to charge phone overnight and didnt succeed 5. Toilet very low!?

Great hotel, central location!

Property is very close to metro, tram and bus stations, as well as tourist attractions and shops. The rooms were modern, clean and warm. The included breakfast is very good with choices of hot or cold dishes, cereals, fruits, cheeses and toasts alongside coffee and teas etc. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and were able to answer a handful of questions that we had about the area.

The room could benefit from a fridge and a microwave, however, with everything being so close, it wasn’t much of an issue. We also had a small issue with the Wifi dropping in and out, but it was only on occasion.

Location and breakfast are very good

That carpet, it was so smelly and dirty that we didn't want to step barefoot into it and had to leave the window open the whole day so we wouldn't be overwhelmed by the smell...they should refurbish and get rid of it or clean it properly.

It’s good value.

For the price we pay, we received comfortable beds, clean rooms, and a very good breakfast. The hotel is older but well-maintained. Receptionist was very friendly.

A good stay 15mins from the centre of Brussels with nearby parking.

Check in was all well organised and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

The room I was given was on the 8th floor without a lift. Access was through the 7th floor. There are no facilities in the reception area.

Great location but dark room

I liked the location the Grand square was a 15 minute walk away, the Central station and Namur station were close. There was a good retail area just across the road.. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good.

I didn’t like the room. It was spacious and clean but had no natural light so was very dark. The only window faced onto an area of heat pumps.

Enjoyable stay, with only minor issues like parking and the elevator

Breakfast was included and quite good, with a nice variety to start the day. The property's location was another highlight—fairly close to the center and right by a parking area, making it ideal for those traveling by car. The staff were also excellent: respectful, welcoming, and friendly, which really enhanced our stay.

There were two main drawbacks to note. First, the property does not offer its own parking. I’m not sure if I misunderstood or if the listing on Booking was unclear, but I had assumed parking was available on-site. Instead, you need to use a nearby public parking facility, which costs €28 per day—something to keep in mind if you're traveling by car. The second, more minor issue was the elevator. It was very small, old, and slow, only fitting two people at a time. For a hotel of this standard, I expected a more modern and efficient elevator.

Small single with window to “inner courtyard” should be described as no window as “inner courtyard “ is actually more a service tunnel. Also A/C cannot be switched off - very unpleasant as blowing directly to the bed.

Good location, good bedroom, but dirty carpet and uncomfortable pillow

The bedroom was pretty decent and a good size for one night. The bathroom was ok too. However, the carpet on the floor triggered my allergies from all the dust. Plus, the pillow was really uncomfortable. So all in all, I had a terrible night. But the location, the staff and the price were really good.

Perfect location

The location is perfect, very close to bus and metro stop. Breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. Staff very friendly and helpful.

My room was on the 8th floor, where you don't have elevator. From the floor 7th to the 8th floor you need to go up the stairs. Which is a bit inconvenient if you have a large and heavy luggage like I did. Sometimes the room smelled like sewage.

just a few things wrong the lift was not working to my floor I was on the 5 th floor my hubby has a bad leg and foot the breakfast was so basic the area so out of town nothing 😞 the room to hot the air-conditioning does not hit anywhere in room as it above the front door a lot of slamming doors also they where building in one of rooms at 9 am woke us up not good also the hallways and rooms are very dated and smell of must

OK-ish place - I can't help a cashcow feeling

The location of the hotel is super convenient if you rely on public trasport - with the metro and many buslines servicing the next-door square.

The room itself felt like it was the last stop in a cul-de-sac. Tucked away near the inside patio or rather air shaft, with a depressing view and a window that did not bring any daylight nor fresh air (despite the curtain being 20 centimeters short). Overall, it felt that this hotel was built with the bare minimum (small investment) and that it mainly serves as a cashcow; nothing to really accommodate the guests. Price was on the lower side for Brussels, yet still too steep considering the low value in return.

We arrived on a rainy bleak day. The next day was sunny and the walks lovely.

We were not expecting anything great because of the low price however pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff were fabulous. The breakfast was terrific. A pleasant variety of coffee and juices, cold cuts and cheeses. A variety of pastries. I know the elevators were small but it’s Europe. All you can do to improve that is to knock down the building and start over again but then all that history and ambiance will go away. It was a cozy hotel.

CNN was available in the breakfast room but not in the rooms themselves . That doesn’t make sense.

The property was in a good location, very central and had excellent transport links. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.

The walls were very very thin so there was not much privacy, and you were woken up by people talking in the corridors. Also the wifi connection wasn’t very strong from within the rooms which was not ideal.

Pleasant stay

The position is quite central and it is very easy to reach the main museums from the hotel. I also liked the possibility to leave the luggage there before the check-in time.

Fine for one night stay

Location is pretty good. 12 min walk from the central station and 15 min from the old town. AC was working.

It seem like hotel haven't been renovated since 90th. the day was hot and we used AC. In the evening we wanted to open window, but it was impossible. Outdoor parts of AC was exactly near our wirndow. It was loud and super dusty from them.

Friendly staff and nice location.

Location was great and staff very friendly. Beautiful and private balcony with direct door access from the room. The place was clean and had reasonable rates.

Aircondition provided very little effect, so was dependent on an open balcony door. Breakfast offered very little variation and wifi was not particularly responsive. One lift, and it is very slow, so the stairs will often be the quickest option.

I booked an economy single room and it looked like a storage room. The window lead to a technical room with air condition unist - see a picture. Horrible room!!! This should not be offered as accomodation. When I made a complain, the receptionist told me that I got what I ordered. Never again!
