Very decent room in a hotel, that probably has the best location in Karlstad. Also very good breakfast.

The hotel recommends buying parking in advance, but the advance price is triple what it costs to handle the parking on site. Large parking area near the library was perfect for our needs.

The hotel was wonderful and the staff was happy, friendly and helpful. Y room was in the old part of the building with a view if the water. The room was perfect. The breakfast spread was very good. Nothing was missing.

Location on the river is special. A short walk to the old town along the river side.

I don't think I have stayed in a room this small for years. The bed was hard up against a wall and was the old fashioned springs with thin mattress topper. Bathroom had not been cleaned fully which they did fix quickly, but no apologies. They have a rooftop heated pool but no change room, no robes, no towels or slippers etc. The man at reception did not advise that you must request all of this from him, we've though I had to go to reception to advise that the door to the pool would not own with my key. Is instructed to find the key responder somewhere on an adjacent wall. Breakfast says typical of every hotel I stayed in in Sweden so far, but just not as well presented or as fresh. Hotel does not have its own parking so keep that in mind. It just feels tired and dated. Met a great couple at the pool however so not a complete waste.
