Great location and surrounding areas - a quick walk to the lake, kiosk, coffee place, beautiful walking trails (full of berries in August!), boat rental, rope park.... [we were there in August, can't say what happens when it gets colder] Pretty interior with a sitting area/couches and fire place next to the bar. Bar tenders were efficient. Wonderful b-fast. Basic rooms. Okay WIFI. Quick check in and check out.

SPA remained a mystery. No website/pictures (that I could find) to know if it's worth paying a heavy extra and the lady at the SPA front desk would not let the Mrs and I in to take a look at facilities. Felt awkward so I did not book. Also, I may have missed it or maybe it's common and we're not from around but was surprised that all published outdoor facilities (boat, rope climbing etc) were run by someone else and were for an extra fee.

Beautiful natural surroundings and scenery. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and very good quality.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable and noticeably sagging. Unfortunately, the spa experience was very disappointing. The massage itself was very mediocre and was shorter than the duration stated in the spa menu. The massage therapist was not wearing a face mask, and there was an unpleasant smell from her breath throughout the treatment, which made the experience particularly uncomfortable. What was even more disappointing was the attitude of the spa reception staff. After my massage, I asked to briefly see the spa facilities and join my husband, who was using the spa at that time. I was refused and was not even allowed to go and see him. The staff spoke to me in a dismissive and rather arrogant manner, which left a very negative impression.
