They used the guest viewing deck for spa treatments which is really not acceptable to the other guests

Lovely luxury “tents” with giant beds. Beautiful game reserve with brilliant guides and trackers.

All inclusive resort but the choice of free alcohol was very limited compared to our experience at Cheetah Ridge last year. Food was good but not outstanding, again compared with Cheetah Ridge.

Amazing place. Lots of staff who can’t do enough to help you. Food was excellent. Great game drives with experienced rangers and spotters who really engage with you. We were a group in 3 trucks and had the best time. One truck seeing Leopard.

Constructive feed back would be: No heating in tents so cold at night. Electric blankets of hot water bottles would make a huge difference ! On the all inclusive package no cider!

It’s a beautiful place, and we loved the opportunity to stay in a tent for a more adventurous experience. It was our anniversary, and they decorated the room with petals and left us a bottle of bubbles, which was such a nice touch from Thanda. The game drive was very good, and our ranger and tracker were awesome. We also had a group of Zulu women singing for us, which was a truly special experience. The staff were 10/10; very nice and friendly.

We were very disappointed with the overall experience, as we were expecting much more considering what we paid and all the ratings. It was definitely not a 5-star or luxurious experience. We have done other luxury safari experiences in South Africa before, and this was nothing like those. We filled out a form before our arrival with our food preferences and dietary requirements (I am gluten intolerant). In the end, it felt pointless, as I was hardly catered for gluten-free. Apart from GF pancakes at breakfast and biscuits during the morning drive, there were no gluten-free options for lunch or dinner, or during the afternoon drive. The place itself is not very well looked after. At the lookout, some parts of the fence are broken and the area clearly needs maintenance. The pool was dirty, and the rooms are quite old and also showed a lack of maintenance. Overall, it did not feel like 5-star accommodation. We were also promised a wake-up call for the morning drive, but no one came to wake us up. We ended up having to rush, and we were lucky the group had not departed yet, although everyone was already ready to go. Overall, we don’t feel it was worth the money. We can’t say the experience was horrible, as we still enjoyed some parts of our stay, and we would have raved about it if the value for money had matched the price. However, we felt we paid a lot for what we received. It is a very expensive place for what is delivered, and in our opinion it does not meet the standards of a 5-star luxury experience.
