The room was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was okay.

There were few parking spots available. The breakfast was supposed to be served at 7:30, but they opened the restaurant at 8:00, probably because it was a public holiday in the Netherlands. It should have been communicated in advance.

Utterly unforgivable- total lack of hospitality.

I checked in after walking for 8 hours in cold rain on the Pieterpad . There was no water boiler in the room and when I asked how I could boil water, I was told “ we don’t do that “ then I was asked, “ what do you want hot water for?” And I replied “ because I have been walking for 8 hours in freezing rain and I want to make tea !” THEN the young lady told me that she could sell me a cup of tea, and when I expressed disbelief, she proceeded to give me a cup of hot water, “ but just this and no more.” In 30 plus years of cycling and hiking all over Europe, this was the ONLY time I have never even had a common room where I could use a boiler . Even the cheapest camp sites have them . In addition, the lights in my bathroom didn’t work, the dinner was an awful frozen fish that was barely edible , and really, the worst thing of all was standing there soaking wet and freezing, my hands so cold that I couldn’t get the change out for the room tax, and then being asked “ why do you want hot water ?”

Whilst accepting it would be a budget hotel we expected a more welcoming experience. Would never recommend this hotel

One member of staff a young girl who was very helpful.

Arrived to be told no food available manager very unhelpful when we asked for advice as to where we could eat or how to get to town. A very helpful young member of staff rang the sister hotel and arranged for us to eat there and a total stranger gave two of us a lift as we have to use walking aids to save us a long walk. There were no taxis available. We got back to the hotel to find staff had gone and we had to let ourselves in. Room very basic, rusty pipes in bathroom. Breakfast was provided next day which did have a good selection.

The location, it is right by Pieterpad I was able to check in early Room was comfortable enough

The person at reception was bit confused, first wanted me to pay again, although I already paid online. Then I asked if I can get breakfast packed to go as I will leave before the breakfast time and he told me he will check and let me know, but forgot. The room had one angled wall. I'm short but even I banged my head few times, can not imagine how is it for tall Dutch people. Fridge or at least kettle would be nice in the room. Not even hair dryer in the room.

Room was at the end of hall which was quieter. Bathroom had a bathtub which was nice. Breakfast was good and plenty of things to fill one's belly.

Room was much smaller than expected. OK for 1 adult and 1 child but cramped for 2 adults. Bathroom bath tiles and fixtures were moldy and or rusty. It needs some attention. Room #11 Please add cornflakes to the breakfast cereals. It might make it more kid friendly. Hotel Parking is very limited. There is free parking on the street nearby in the front but only from 18:00 - 11:00 Front desk atm machine would not take my American Express card of which I made the reservation with. Nor would the machine scan my bank card correctly. The front desk had to manually enter it.

The location was good. The food was good. The staff was nice and helpful. The room and bedsheets were clean. Was nice that we could park in the parking of the hotel for free.

The pictures of the room don't reflect the reality. The hotel looks good from outside but the rooms are the opposite than what you would expect. We were very disappointed. Definitely did not worth to pay 100€/night for such small room with so many deficiencies: there was mold in the bathroom on the walls. The walls of the room were dirty. The windows were old, had faded white wooden frames and were not isolating good, the room was cold. The food was good but little choice. At the breakfast were no vegetables and the choice of lunch was poor.

Just the breakfast!

It was a problem to find someone speaking English. The room was smelling bad due to the carpet, old and ready for being ripped off. The parking is outrageous! Small, very limited and not adeguate for a hotel. We had to park close to a shop and we were lucky to find a spot. I was wondering what could have happened if we hadn’t found any spot! The light in the room was insufficient. There is no respect at all for somebody else rest from other guests! They really don’t know the basic of education. We will NEVER come back!

Homely hotel

It's a relaxed hotel where you can take your kids or dogs and you don't have to worry about perfect hotel interiors. It's clean, light and functional and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The best thing is the location if you have a dog. In any direction you walk you can find a field or pathway that is pretty and dog friendly.

Hot water could have been a bit hotter, but it was sufficient.

het ontbijt was zeer goed, gezellige ruimte en veel variatie

het restaurant was gesloten, we moesten op 'n andere plaats gaan dineren de kamer was aubollig met slechts 'n kleine radiator, en geen verwarming in de badkamer.... dus vrij koud de badkamer was wel mooi gerenoveerd behalve de oude houten versleten ramen

verschrikkelijk!. receptionist deed z'n best maar Fletcher?... nooit meer

dat we een schriftelijk bevestiging kregen aan de balie dat we ons geld terugkregen

de receptionist zat met z'n handen in het haar omdat hij alles alleen moest doen dat was triest. hij deed z'n best. nadat we niets meer hoorden hebben we contact met Anja gehad die ons afbekte aan de telefoon. na veel aandringen en gedoe eindelijk ons geld terug via Fletcher. als genoegdoening zouden we bij onze volgende boeking een gratis drankje krijgen... nu ja we hadden ons verheugd op een paar dagen vertoeven in Valkenburg maar door hun verkeerde voorstelling van zaken kregen we een kleine afgedankte kamer welke niet leek op de geboekte kamer volgens de foto's we zijn s'nachts weer huiswaarts gegaan omdat er op 22 December ook geen ander hotel kamers beschikbaar had. erg jammer en teleurstellend mbt Empatisch vermogen van Fletcher in het algemeen. we zullen daar ook zeker niet meer boeken.

Schone kamers, lekkere bedden, goed ontbijtje en een laadpaal voor de deur

Kamer was heel basic. Wij kwamen laat aan en wilde een kopje thee maken maar daar voor waren geen faciliteiten. Het douchewater liep langzaam weg maar dat was een bekend probleem zei de receptie.

Het ontbijt was prima

De kamer was niet groter dan een bezemkast met schuine wanden waardoor je in de helft van de kamer niet rechtop kan staan. Slechte bedden met kuil in het midden. Badkamerlicht blijft de gehele nacht branden. Lekkage bij het raam.

Door de gratis parkeerplek en de nabijheid bij het centrum een OK adresje voor een kort verblijf.

Gratis parkeerplek met oplaadpalen. Loopafstand (20 minuten) naar het centrum en de Gemeentegrot. Goed ontbijtbuffet.

Lekkage bij het raam door condensvorming. Geen koffie en thee op de kamer. Vlekjes op het beddengoed.

Удобная кровать с мягким матрасом, спишь как в облаке, завтрак, хоть и не разнообразный, но вкусный и качественный. Приветливый персонал.

Маленькая парковка, припарковаться это как борьба за выживание, нужно постараться найти или дождаться места во дворе отеля, очень тесный номер без холодильника :(

viel ons erg tegen een slechte kamer met veel geluid van de leidingen.

inchecken was erg moeilijk er was niemand aanwezig om 20.30 uur we moesten de sleutel uit een kluisje halen met een code is helaas niet gelukt maar we zijn gered door de beheerder die we gebeld hebben toen konden we naar onze kamer we hebben geen oog dicht gedaan we zijn van de slaap gehouden door het geluid van de leidingen hevig getik Maar we zijn de nacht doorgekomen ontbijt was prima maar al met al was het niet fijn we waren wel een beetje teleurgesteld dit gaan we niet weer doen Jammer. Groetjes en succes verder.

De locatie was goed. Lekker ontbijt. Personeel (een persoon) was erg vriendelijk.

De bedden waren heel zacht als je erop ging liggen lag je bijna op de grond zijn echt aan vervanging toe. De kamers hebben ook een flinke opknapbeurt nodig. Zijn erg verouderd zoals veel beschadigingen aan de deuren enzo wat frissere kleuren zou al veel schelen.
