Sunday Hotel Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Clean and had all that was needed for a one night stay.

We were waiting in the reception 15 minutes before the 5am shuttle bus was due to arrive and the driver came into the hotel but didn’t inform anyone that he was there. It was dark outside and hard to see that the shuttle bus had arrived. The reception staff didn’t communicate at all so then when we went to get on the bus the driver told us off for being late. He could have mentioned when he went into the reception that he had arrived. Very poor and stressful when you have an early morning flight.

Shuttle was on time. Room was a good size, not too small. Grab rails in bathroom. Breakfast was very good as was the beefburger.

Decaf coffee in a coffee machine would have been nice. I would prefer a walk-in shower.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was great for doing some work and of course relaxing after a long day. The hotel has a system whereby if you do not have room cleaning done you recieve a 5€ voucher for use in the hotel, I liked this a lot. The hotel was quite and generally easy to use as a base to get to Leiden and Amsterdam where I had work arrangements.

The wait time for check-in was quite long (around 15 minutes) and some of the features such as tiles in the bathroom were old and broken. The main drawback related to the bus, there are times in the morning and evening when the shuttle bus doesn’t run and in order to travel from hotel to airport there is a fee of 6€.

Shuttle bus service , close to airport . Room clean and nice linen

Carpets / passage … key tricky . Don’t do QR code … must be an alternative . Water in room … wasn’t sure if you could drink water from tap ? Wanted to phone reception .. no number or booklet to give numbers
