About this apartment rental

Completely renovated in a part of the former Ursuline convent (one of the first established in France in the 16th century). Located on the first floor of the building, it consists of an entrance, integrated kitchen, 2 bedrooms, one with a 160 cm bed and the other with 2 80 cm bunk beds. Bathroom, separate WC, TV, satellite dish and Canal Sat pre-installation, WIFI. Sheets and towels provided.

The apartment was very spacious for me and my husband, and we enjoyed being in town to walk around. The bathroom, bath and tub were excellent, and while we did not cook, we did have cheese, charcuterie and local bread and wine and enjoyed the pretty glasses and plates. Great cleaning supplies and we did do laundry. The only issue for us was that while we knew parking was off-site and sometimes difficult, it was pretty busy when we were there and we did have to park a ways a way after coming home from visiting other areas. We were able to find a way to drive our car closer to the apartment to transport our luggage, as we were on a long trip and had acquired wine and vinegar to bring home. Claudine was very pleasant and showed us the apartment and left several great menus for local restaurants, which we enjoyed.

The apartment is very secure and safe. It was clean and well-prepared for our arrival. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was large and modern. It stayed cool in the hot summer, plus has an A/C unit if necessary. Claudine was a fantastic hostess! She was friendly, informative, and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend staying here!

Great location. Host was friendly and responsive. Lots of stairs, and a bathtub shower situation—FY I for those who have mobility issues. It was tidy enough, and comfy enough, but felt like it could use a bit of a deep clean. Nonetheless we enjoyed our time there.

The location of this property could not be better! It is in the very center of L'Isle Sur La Sorgue, a charming village in Provence with plenty of amazing restaurants and shops, churches and chapels, and twice weekly outdoor markets. Claudine and Bruno were very helpful and hospitable, providing recommendations for restaurants, parking, etc. you will not regret staying here!!Merci beaucoup, Claudine!

We greatly enjoyed our stay in L'Isle sur la Sorgue and this apartment made for a good home base as we enjoyed day trips throughout the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The apartment has all of the amenities you would expect and need for your stay. The kitchen is well equipped, and we enjoyed purchasing food at the Sunday market to make our own dinner. The apartment is very quiet but in a prime location just steps away from the Cathedral. You can get anywhere in town in just a matter of minutes. Overall, this is a great apartment in a great location, and I would not hesitate to book it again.

We loved our time in L'Isle. Claudine and Bruno were fantastic hosts and the property is ideally located just 100 metres from the center of the "old town" and just steps from the Sunday market.

We enjoyed our week in L'isle sur Sorgue. The apartment is located perfectly. The kitchen allowed us to cook items from the markets. Ben's boulangerie was our first stop each day. L'isle sur Sorgue was the base for our daytrips around Provence and it worked well. Owners Claudia and Bruno were very nice and helpful but never intrusive. Parking can be a challenge but we always found a spot and it was free.

We really enjoyed our two week stay in Claudine's lovely apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at home, and there are plenty of great restaurants a short walk away. There are two comfortable couches in the living area and loads of space for storage throughout the apartment. Communication was great and little problems solved quickly. We enjoyed walking a block to the boulangerie every morning for fresh croissants and sitting by the canals in the late afternoon. In addition, there are plenty of things to do within an hour's drive in every direction. We parked for free at the Portalet which is only a 5 min walk away.

We stayed at this lovely property with our adult kids for 4 days. It was the perfect historical property we were looking for in the midst of the old town. We enjoyed Claudine sharing the history of the building on arrival and she was a wonderful host. Thank you so much for your hospitality,we really appreciated all the extras❤️ Such a magical town. Parking was a bit challenging as we were there during peak season. Was worth the extra effort!

A quiet gem

Claudine gave us a warm welcome with the added treat of a bottle of local wine. Her apartment in an old convent is absolutely lovely and equipped with everything you could need. It is located conveniently in a quiet street in the old part of Isle sur la Sorgue. In less than 100 meters you find yourself in the center square which holds lively open markets on Thursdays and Sundays, with the later including antiques. In addition to the towns attractions, the location is also perfect for day excursions in the area. When you return you can amble down the many canals and relax at one of the waterside restaurants that are within walking distance to the apartment. We will definitely return here.

We stayed with our 4 year old daughter. The apartment was full of character and charm. Thanks to the narrow street and thick walls it stayed very cool on extremely hot days. Claudine was very helpful and friendly and spoke good English. Claudine and Bruno live next door so are available for any queries. The location is very close to the centre of L'isle. There is free parking in several locations in easy walking distance, but it is also possible to park outside to load/unload luggage. Kitchen was well equipped. Our daughter loved the bunk beds and rocking horse.

The apartment is in the heart of the beautiful old town so you are just steps from exploring. It is still quiet, dark for sleep-ins, spacious & has everything you need to self cater as well. The French styling is a great authentic touch & Claudine & Bruno provided us great tips on where to explore in the area & great restaurants. Don’t miss the Sunday morning market (smaller one on Thurs we’re told) that run all year. We loved our stay, highly recommend. We were also able to park our large car about 100m away, outside the old town for free with no issues.

Very spacious apt, beautifully decorated. A very comfortable home away from home. Claudine and her husband, Bruno, could not have been more kind, even helping with our luggage to the carpark, which was located nearby. Very large bathroom with 2 sinks and lots of space to organize everything. Really enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend.

I have stayed at accommodations all over USA and Europe and this is by far the best of the best! It all begins with amazing hosts who welcome you like an old friend and offer a plethora of knowledge about the surrounding areas and activities of what to see and do! The beautiful apartment is spacious and very comfortable with all the amenities needed for your stay. The location of the apartment is perfect for day trips. All smaller towns and larger cities are within 30min to 2 hours away. L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue is the loveliest town and all the locals are so warm and welcoming as well. The sunday and thursday market are fantastic for all your edibles and fashion needs. The river is perfect for soaking your feet on those rediculously hot days. The apartment also stays cool-omfortable on those super hot July days. We were very sad to depart but hope to return one day! We hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we did as it truly is a gem! Claudine and Bruno are wonderful hosts!

We spent 4 nights in this beautiful apartment in the center of L'Isle sur la Sorgue. The apartment is tastefully decorated, incredibly well-equipped, large and very comfortable. It's on a side street just off the square so it is very quiet but convenient to everything in town. Free parking is only a few minutes' walk away. Claudine was very welcoming and gracious. We highly recommend this apartment!!

We arrived late on Friday night tired after our long but enjoyable train journey from London. We had an enthusiastic welcome by Claudine and despite the tiredness we couldn't fail to be impressed by our surroundings. Over the next few days our initial impression was confirmed. The apartment was not only very beautiful but also incredibly well equipped. Our every need was catered for--thank you. We were determined to enjoy our stay without the use of a car and this we did. We walked, cycled, used the bus and the train to explore and experience the surrounding area. The weather was very kind to us and we were very sorry to leave. This is certainly a place worth visiting. Thank you very much.

Our host Claudine was delightful. Nothing was too much trouble and she helped us plan our excursions to surrounding attractions. The location is right in the heart of the historic centre, couldn't be better. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the apartment was filled with gorgeous antiques (including one for praying, as the apartment is in a former convent). Definitely plan to stay there again, couldn't recommend more highly.

The location was 1/2 a block away from the center of town. So convenient to walk to the shops, restaurants. The apartment is very clean and decorated charmingly. The bathroom was very well lit and spacious. Claudine and Bruno spent time with us for recommending restaurants. Much appreciated. But what I thought that was above helpful was that Claudine rode with me in the car to show me where to park and how to get back to the house.. Absolutely wonderful people and lovely location.

This spacious apartment was so well -located both in L'Isle Sur-La-Sorgue as well as in the region. We took many day trips from here and yet had plenty to do in the city when we chose to stay at home. The apartment is so clean and nice that we were able to make it a home away from home as we spent a wonderful vacation in France. We would recommend this!
