Torre Vallelunga

The owners were fantastic and super attentive and quick to respond to any needs. The air conditioning was fantastic in the bedroom and much needed especially as temperatures were 40+ when we arrived. The view from the balcony was stunning - we got both sunset and sunrise and we spent a lot of time chilling on the balcony. It was conveniently located right next to the train station where you could easily get trains to both Cefalu and Palermo. The Sisa supermarket was only a few minutes walk away and had an excellent selection of food stuffs!

The nearest beaches were not that great so I would suggest researching and going further afield if you want a nice beach / dip in the sea. That is not the fault of the owner though! Our two prong European adaptor wouldn't work - so make sure you have the right adaptor! :)

+ perfect view for ocean from on-roof terrace + non touristic area + cleanliness + north exposition of flat so even if it was hot outside, we didn't have to use air condition (but there was one in the flat). + really close to train station (for some of you - train noise can disturb but it was ok for us)

No good beach close to the flat but trains are every hour and you can get in 15-30 minutes to other places. There is a small beach few minutes from the flat but it is kind of wild and dirty.

I loved this apartment, It is super cute. Newly renovated, well decorated. Lovely spiral staircase (quite narrow) layout is lovely, Lounge on ground floor, bedroom & bathroom 2nd floor. the terrace which is lovely & big, is just off the kitchen on the 3rd floor. It gets the sun from sunrise until about 1.30, but has shade available. The view at sunrise and sunset is beautiful. Perfect for drinks and meals. We were met by the owners mother, she was so lovely. She only speaks Italian ( which I think is stated in the detail), my friend partly understood so we weren’t completely at a loss. Also you can contact the owner by text for English and help and advice. Very friendly.

Location! But that’s only because we didn’t have a car so were unable to get to the beach which was frustrating as the view of the ocean from the terrace is gorgeous. There is a Stone beach nearby but very small and not what I was wanting. It’s a small local town so things are closed late afternoon, even restaurants. There is a supermarket open morning then reopens @ 4.30, cafe within walking distance the is open all the time. There are lots of casual places to eat nearby, but not quite what we were after. I think however with more research we would have found more. We traveled by train so it was perfect as station is 150 meters from door. But as we wanted beach it was a bit far out and no public transport available.
