The house is located in Willmsfeld, near Westerholt, in the municipality of Holtriem, close to the Holtriem hiking trail. The coast, easily accessible by bike, is about 15 km away. The Holtriemer region (Holtriem: am Wald = Holt - Landstrich = Riem) lies roughly in the center of the triangle formed by the towns of Norden, Aurich, and Esens. Willmsfeld is close to the well-known “Rad up Pad” and “Frisian Mill Tour” cycling routes. The integrated municipality of Holtriem consists of the municipalities of Blomberg, Eversmeer, Nenndorf, Neuschoo, Ochtersum, Schweindorf, Utarp, and Westerholt. The administrative center is in Westerholt. In addition to the charming Geest/heathland landscape, Germany’s largest marsh lake, the “Eternal Sea,” is one of Holtriem’s most impressive sights. In Westerholt, you’ll find all the shops you need for daily necessities, as well as doctors, a pharmacy, banks, and several restaurants.
