A lovely, cosy cottage, clean and charming. The main living area is so spacious and really comfortably furnished. We loved our stay at Moorside. Horrabridge is a delightful village, well positioned for exploring Dartmoor and the surrounding areas.

We liked the house. It was warm and comfortable and made an ideal base for our weekend visit with lovely bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which is great with a family to organise. The house was pet friendly which was essential for us too. The village offered pubs (one def pet friendly) for food and drinks, and a chip shop for a takeaway if required. There was plenty of parking, lovely walks and places of interest to visit. It was easy to access.

Nothing that we didn't like, but the small kitchen may benefit from a couple of additional items which we commented directly to the owner (utensils etc). One thing to note though; there is no freezer that we could see. This is fine if you are buying in refrigerated food, but obviously frozen food can't be stored. We brought supplies in on arrival so had not noticed this.

The home is in a lovely location. The small village of Horrabridge is very quiet, with direct access to the moors, whether you are driving or walking. The house itself is very homely. My son loved playing the piano. The kitchen is rather small, but still well equipped. The living/dinning room is very spacious and the furniture and decor very welcoming. The bedrooms are spacious with good storage. We had lovely walks near Burrator upto Sheeps Tor; walked from Cadover to the DewerStone and Shaugh Prior and back another day all very local. I recommend eating or stopping for a quiet drink in Meavy in the Royal Oak Pub. We also drove to the coast to Bigbury for another day. All very pleasant. The village itself is very nice, with a park just below the housing estate where you can walk a dog or walk by the river.

The mattresses are a little too soft for my liking and I found it hard to sleep.
