Tawny Owl Barn

Studio was a good size, clean, comfortable bed and a hot shower. Kitchen was compact but had everything you needed.

Communication was poor. Afew days before checking in we wanted to extend our stay but Booking.com were unable to get a response from the managing agent. We also tried contacting the agent direct but also did not get a reply. We also found the owner of the property a little off putting when checking in stating they're clean people and he will be doing a check out inspection before we leave. Preparations were in place to construct an additional horse pen directly outside the back patio area which would detract from the view for future occupants.

The standard of accommodation is superb, Max was welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. If you want peace and tranquillity this is the place for you. Ideally placed approx 1Km from the geographical centre of Norfolk no where is more than an hour away. I can thoroughly recommend the beach cafe in Wells-next-the-sea after a walk along the amazing beach for a warm fire, great hot chocolate and they are dog friendly.

Lovely accommodation in a very peaceful setting. Lovely couple who run the farm. Max helpful about the area, places to go, places to eat etc. Their dog Sid came to visit ours each morning which was nice. Lovely personal touches in the barn, very clean, tastefully decorated.

We had no real directions from the booking, only a postcode which took us to the village but not the farm. Found after about half hour driving around and pot luck! Also, our paperwork had a supposed direct number to the farm which we called when we were struggling to find it, but when we called it, it was just a number for Booking.com which went to answerphone. Also, the owners didn't get any contact details from us so couldn't call us to help when we were running late. All of the above was no fault of the owners.
