Casa Gargano Ravello Amalfi Coast

Maria and Olimpia made our stay in Amalfi even more wonderful than we could have imagined! We truly appreciated the warm welcome and the lovely surprise for our honeymoon upon arrival. We felt as though we were staying in a beautiful family home in Italy, and we sincerely hope to return one day, as this place has found a special place in our hearts. Thank you once again!

Everything was exceptional!

Our host Maria was very kind and friendly. She welcomed us directly at the SITA bus stop, which is close by the home, as soon as we arrived. She was very accommodating, even helping give instructions for how to reach the home from Salerno train station, where we arrived initially. She toured us through the home and told us everything we needed to know. She was helpful throughout the stay as well, helping us find spots to eat, answer random questions, and also arranging a private taxi back to the airport for us. A very enjoyable stay with 180 degree panoramic views of the Mediterranean, right next to the beautiful town of Atrani. Everything is walkable. No parking and in general I would not recommend bringing a car. The roads are very tight and winding.

The high-speed wifi is not fast, nor really usable for anything more than sending texts. Evidently, all of Ravello (where the home is located) doesn't have a modern fiber-optic cable connection, so wifi is unreliable at most homes like this. Be ready to use your data if you need to take calls or do computer work. TV and streaming worked just fine.

No complaints.

Stayed with my older brother and my parents (aged around 80 years). I love great properties and Casa Gargaon exceeded my already high expectations. First is the location. Its at a bend in the curve about 1 - 2 km from Main Amalfi town (easily walkable in 10 mins). Next the appartment is beautiful and the view from balcony are just stunning (exactly the view one would want from a place like Amalfi coast. Interestingly, the balcony faces East, so one gets amazing sunrise view. Also, the appartment had all modern amenities. There is small very private beach tucked away right next door. There is parking right below the appartment, which is a big plus in amalfi area, though please note the size of car recommended (I think 4.4m length) Maria, our host, was absolutely lovely lady. She gave clear instructions on how to reach, explained everything in detail and was always available to answer any of our questions. She was punctual and made the stay even sweeter. This being my second time to Amalfi coast and Had done a lot of research and i can really recommend this place and will come back here again for sure. Thank you Maria again!!
