Hotel Jacob Samuel by Prima Hotels

I had a room with a small balcony which I used for breakfast and in the evening. Comfy bed. Complimentary wine, chocolates and bottles of water. I live in a city so the noise didn’t bother me, but others might prefer a quieter location. Staff excellent. Friendly and helpful.

I think the bathroom could maybe do with an update.

Everything was perfect. The service amazing and the room really was great and clean.

Unfortunately, our experience with the hostess at the hotel bar was extremely unpleasant. She was unfriendly, inflexible, and frankly quite obnoxious in the way she dealt with us. We had been given two complimentary vouchers for chasers at the bar. We came down to use them just a few minutes after 11pm, only to discover that the small print stated they were valid until 11pm. We understood that technically we were a few minutes late, but the way the situation was handled was completely unnecessary. There was no flexibility or goodwill whatsoever, and the hostess made us feel very uncomfortable over something so minor. It was a small incident, but the attitude and treatment left such a negative impression that I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.
