The host Mariafrancesca made our stay very special with all her help, kindness, and advice

La Primavera is a wonderful home in which to stay while vacationing on Capri. Located in Anacapri away from the crowds-very tranquil and relaxing. Our week-long stay was positively AMAZING! The day prior to our arrival, the host contacted me to firm up arrival details & asked if we were celebrating any type of special event. I told her we were celebrating my sister's upcoming birthday. Mariafrancesca asked if there was anything she could prepare in honor of the birthday, to leave for her upon our arrival. I suggested that if she had any flowers in her yard, maybe a couple flowers in a vase in the master bedroom. When we arrived, my sister was delighted to find a beautiful orchid plant with a birthday card in her room. It was SO thoughtful-much more than anticipated. She also set out fresh fruit, a bottle of wine & wine glasses for our arrival. Mariafrancesca checked back a couple of times during our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. She also contacted me the night before departure to see if we needed help with bags or transport into town. SHE WAS A DREAM OF A HOST-anticipating all needs & wishes, & available if we needed anything. Upon our arrival, we opened the front gate to a beautiful front yard & terrace. Flowers, lemon trees, vegetables growing & butterflies-just absolutely paradise! There was a nice table w/6 comfortable chairs in one area of the terrace. In another area, there was a coffee table w/4 lounge chairs, an outdoor shower & a place to hang wet clothes out of the way. We enjoyed coffee on the terrace every morning. It was such a beautiful way to greet the day. I'm running out of characters to tell of all the A+ things about the house. The beds were the most comfortable we'd ever slept on. Bathrooms well-stocked & nice-sized. Washing machine in one of the 2.5 bathrooms. Kitchen/dining area well-stocked and comfy. Air conditioning & full-sized fridge & dishwasher.

The description of the property included on-site parking, a big selling point for me. My car is registered in Capri which is why I was able to bring it onto the island in the first place. The host warned me that we should not try to drive our car to the property, that only a Fiat 500 and old Pandas could make it through the passageways. We were in an old Panda so I thought it would be okay. It wasn't. The car could not make it through. This was the only hiccup during our stay.

Our host gave us a warm welcome—helping with our luggage via a little Piaggio Ape and personally walking us from the bus stop (we took the bus from Marina Grande to Anacapri), giving us a lovely first introduction to the area. The home is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, about a 5–10 minute stroll through charming narrow alleys to shops and stores. The home is spacious, modern, and has a beautiful garden filled with vegetables & fruits, the house has everything you need for a comfortable and extended stay.

Just a small tip: most grocery stores close around 8pm, so it's a good idea to plan ahead for water and drinks.
