Villa Matisse is an amazing place surrounded by old pine trees in the middle of a naturally park-like area. Enjoying time on the terrace for either breakfast, lunch or dinner or even just a sundowner drink is like resting in the crown of this area and the villa inside with it‘s outstanding beautiful tile floors all over the house, which we have never seen before like this, is absolutely beautiful like out of this world. The owner Jan himself is a super host - friendly, sociable, helpful, accommodating and easily and always at your service, whenever needed - personally just himself a 10/10. Beside we found everything as described, AC on, all the beds had been prepared already and towels for everybody made us feel highly welcome right from the beginning and the recommended restaurants and bars „around the corner“ were among the most beautiful places to be on our trip over all the isles of the gulf of Napoli. We are full of thanks to Jan and for having us in Villa Matisse and recommend this place and himself with 100%. Gracie mille & arrivederci :)

The apartment was of a good size for the four of us. It was quiet, surrounded by lush green vegetation. Having A/C was a god's end given the heat, as was the big swimming pool. Getting around the area was easy. We walked a lot, took the local bus, a taxi here and there... Anacapri was nice and relatively quiet after the craziness of Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. Very relaxing. Communications with the host were exceptional.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Matisse. But what really stood out and made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional owner (Jan). He was incredibly friendly and also answered very quickly to all the messages and gave us great recommendations for restaurants, beachs and local spots, making sure we had the best possible experience throughout our stay.
Highly recommended : we would definitely come back!
