The Salt Pot

Beautiful place, everything we needed,parking was ok on street for us, but a carpark is available just down the hill. lovely size rooms good views, 2 bathrooms which is always a blessing. cooker good, fridge freezer good, washer good, dishwasher good, only a two piece toaster which is odd but overall a pleasure. Cupboard full of games and books available, Dvds there but no Dvd player.. Soft clean bedding and towels. Great huge window in the lounge which fully opens for the warmth of the sun.

Walking out the gate onto the road was a worry at first but it really is such a quiet peaceful road so I relaxed after a while. Very slim road with one way traffic remember to put your wing mirrors in.

Perfect location and the house was clean and tidy

The location was fantastic, perfect for exploring the island and a short walk down to the esplanade and beach. The views from the main bedroom were glorious. Nicely and simply furnished, the selection of board games went down a treat with the children! The welcome pack was also a really lovely and considerate touch. Would recommend a visit to Compton Bay, Osborne House, Shanklin Chine and Carisbrooke Castle as we particularly loved these places but the whole island has a lot to offer!

The internal stairs were very steep which made me very nervous with our 3 year old running about! I did ask the holiday company if there was a stair gate available but was told no. Luckily it didn’t turn out to be too much of an issue in the end. However the main issue was the overwhelming smell of damp pervading through the property. There was a de-humidifier in the dining area which required emptying by us on a daily basis so clearly this is a problem that the holiday company are aware of.

Everything- If you are thinking about booking this property then book it now!

The pen ran out when filling in the visitors book. Otherwise nothing to dislike other than having to go home after the holiday.
