Luxury Villa in Private Community Overlooking Dominicalito Bay
Often called “the best location in town,” Villa Playa Amigo is minutes away from beaches, surfing, waterfalls, shopping, and dining. Tucked privately at the end of the road on a premier lot in the Canto Del Mar gated community, the villa overlooks the tranquil waters of Dominicalito Bay. Relax by the pool, take in the lush jungle views, and listen to the soothing sound of the ocean day and night.
The space
Villa Playa Amigo is a unique property with many recent upgrades, including a new pool built in 2026. The entrance flows into a bright, open living space with incredible views from the comfortable living room, remodeled kitchen and dining area. A two piece powder room is located near the front entrance. The large balcony, covered patio, pool, grill and hammock are perfect for outdoor lounging or entertaining guests.
Taking the stairs down to the first floor you will find a lounge area with a queen sized pull out sofa, laundry room, and two master bedrooms, both with ocean views, private bathrooms, air conditioners, ceiling fans, and balconies overlooking over the jungle. One bedroom has a comfortable king bed and en-suite bathroom with a natural stone walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom with natural stone soaker tub & shower.
There is lots of wildlife visible right from Villa Playa Amigo. Troops of white faced monkeys are often seen using our trees as a route back in to the jungle. Birds, coatis, iguanas are in abundance as well. There is also a resident sloth (#harrythesloth) who can been seen from the villa.

Very welcoming host. Amazing property with fantastic ocean view. Everything you need for a great vacation. We found chairs for the beach and even boogie board. Area is very quiet and secure with gated entrance and guard at the gate. Surrounded by beautiful wild nature. We had monkeys walking on our balcony.Less than 5 minutes drive to the beach.After we left, we forgot very important item at the property and host went above and beyond to return it to us. Thank you very much. We will be back.

White Face Monkeys (capuchin), Howler Monkeys, Coati, Agouti, Humming birds, Iguanas, etc., etc. (all pictures are from the deck)While the home was great, the deck was where it was at!!!The location is great, close to Dominical & Uvita, walking distance to the Domicalito beach & local waterfall.Our adventures included zip lining, scuba diving, visiting Manuel Antonio National Park, Corcovado National Park, Parque Reptilandia (ask them about their famous Crocodile), Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary, and more...I can't recommend this place enough.Pura Vida!!!

Loved this place. Saw white faced monkeys and toucans and a variety of parrots. There were squirrels and the most beautiful butterflies anywhere. The Blue Morpho tops the list. If there was a very minor blip it was the occasional truck noise from down below.

The stay was great! Loved the views and the out door space. The unit was spacious, clean and a great location. We loved it and would stay here again!
