Minos Palace Resort - Adults Only

The hotel rooms, facilities, views, grounds, staff, and location were all amazing. We stayed in a Sunset Room, which was spacious and had a lovely balcony. The room was spotless, and the housekeeping service was excellent throughout our stay. The hotel’s interior was beautiful, and we especially loved the breakfast setting and buffet. It was such a relaxing atmosphere that you could easily spend two hours enjoying breakfast without feeling rushed. The beach area was gorgeous, with a private sandy beach that never felt overcrowded. It was always easy to find a place to relax. We especially loved the beach sofas—they were incredibly comfortable and a great alternative to the sunbeds if they were occupied. The beach service was excellent, with food and drinks served promptly. We had lunch twice at the seafood restaurant on the beach, and both meals were fantastic. The lobster pasta and tomato carpaccio were especially delicious and highly recommended. We also had dinner once at the hotel’s main restaurant, where breakfast is served. It offers a buffet-style dinner with live entertainment, which created a lovely atmosphere. While the food was okay & can be improved. The hotel is about a 30-minute walk from the town, but we preferred taking a taxi each time. The hotel staff would arrange one for us, and it always arrived quickly. In town, there was always a taxi queue with available cars to take us back to the hotel, so transportation was never an issue. When we visited Elounda, which is farther away, the restaurants there were also happy to call a taxi for us. Overall, this is the kind of hotel you don’t want to leave. We hardly did, except to head into town for dinner. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful property, clean and simple… highlighted the landscape well. The beach and the sunbeds along the terraced rocks were incredible. Every member of staff was kind and helpful. Food was delicious but also healthy. Gym seems newly redone and was great. The website to book reservations and order room service and drinks to the beach was super useful!

The only tiny thing I would change is that I could never quite seem to get my air conditioning to cool my room to the desired temperature at night. It was not hot in any way - I just couldn’t get it extra cold. But obviously not a big deal.
