Hotel Kommandørgården

The staff was very helpful when we told them about all the problems we had discovered in the House with 3 bedrooms that we had booked through Booking.com. They gave us two cabins instead that were wonderful compared with the House with 3 bedrooms. The cleaning was excellent all over.

Booking.com gave us a house with 3 bedrooms where the third bedroom was in a cabin next door and without a key for the door and without any kind of curtains for the windows. The TV did not work properly. The main water valve in the bathroom was leaking. When filling the sink in the bathroom with water and emptying it the water came up in the drain in the shower. In one of the bedrooms the bed was a wall to wall bed where you had to open the door to get out of bed. Missing instructions of how to use the different equipment in the house. The cost of this house is too high compare to the generally low standard.

The hotel is a bit rundown. Primarily the door handles of most rooms are coming off because non-Danes don't realize that you have to pull the handle up when unlocking or locking the door. The rooms are overall quite comfortable and the facilities (sauna's and small pool) are very nice after a hike to the beach or a horseback ride. The horse riding facilities are excellent.

The curtains don't block the light although at this time of year it is already very light at 4 am! The shower is not separated from the toilet, so that after you shower you get your feet wet when using the toilet. Breakfast buffet is very minimal.

A nice place to come back again.

It has a game room for kids.

Old hotel. Not well maintained. It is quite expensive but they don’t provide the bed linens and there is no options on that area for accommodation. When we arrived we had to pay extra for the bed linens and wasn’t there anyway. We had to call twice for reminding and only in the evening they provided.
