Apartamento Relax Dunas

The accommodation was in an apartment block which has seen better days, although we understand that is being upgraded. Sergio met us and let is in and showed the way to the pool. The pool looks like it has been updated and has new grass. The toilets by the pool no longer exist and we believe the round building may have been a poolside bar. The apartment was well equipped although some of the plug placement was a little strange. The apartment had been extended into the balcony and the kitchen (probably) moved to that space, with the vacant part converted into a bed 'alcove' which contained bunk beds and separated by curtains - shutters may have been better or putting a door on the side to create a separate room. One bunk bed was up with that mattress on top of the lower one, which made hitting the base of the top one a nightly occurrence and once the mattress moved so far I almost slipped onto the floor! The apartment was clean with all things needed although clothes drier a little wobbly. Whether by design or fault, there was a bottle of water in the fridge, and a bag of ice in the freezer. Teabags, coffee and other essentials were also supplied.

The pillows were very thin with only one per person. We found a way round that. In the whole apartment there were only 4 coathangers - not enough even for one persons clothes! The shower cubicle was very petite and if you were of a larger build you could struggle to get in, plus it could be difficult to use the shower. We found there was a knack to open the front door after one of us obtained a grazed knuckle - pull the door handle as you turn the key. The couch had seen better days too and was uncomfortable to sit on.

La estancia ha sido excelente. Las instalaciones están en muy buen estado, limpias y cuidadas, lo que hizo que nos sintiéramos muy cómodos. También queremos destacar la atención de Sergio y Visi, que fueron muy amables con nosotros, algo que se agradece mucho. Sin duda, una experiencia muy recomendable!

Found a dead grasshopper in the bedroom and the apartment was not as well lit as advertised. There was also no airport shuttle bus as indicated and replies were slow.
