Lovely property to use as base

Modern decoration and furnishings, 2 bathrooms, dog friendly with enclosed field for them on site, helpful host who recommended places to eat and dog friendly beach to visit

Booking process didn't request info re number of dogs and cars - extra charge for dogs which is normal but could be clearer at booking. Also no socket near a mirror in bedroom makes hair drying difficult.

It's a very lovely spot, and both Helen and Richard couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful.

Helen and Richard were super helpful and responsive. They shared local knowledge and you felt you could call on them for anything if needed. The courtyard is almost 'fairytale-esque' and the cottage itself was charming, quiet and comfortable. The location was a good base to then explore the wider area/coast.

Three very small details. While Richard met us ahead of our allotted time and reassured us that the gated/courtyard was 'safe and they'd never had any issues with theft etc?' we'd have preferred if there was a locked area (shed etc?) for our cases/luggage etc to be dropped off ahead of the cottage being ready/cleaned. The paddock is a lovely feature, great for the dogs? However, the crass when cut isn't collected, so in the early mornings the dogs would drag the wet crass on their coats into the cottage if we'd not stopped them and then had to brush and towel them off in the garden. Finally they're no easy way to just take the dogs for a longer local walk direct from the cottage.

Convenient location however certainly not worth the £200 nightly rate considering the issues

Convenient location; 30 mins to Bournemouth

Furniture stained and property wasn’t fully clean; living room furniture had stains on it and some of the cutlery and plates hadn’t been cleaned properly as had dried food on. No blinds on some of the windows so no privacy walking in/out of bedrooms. Shower head in both rooms had limescale on so water was coming out at random angles. No bread knife available.

Very good

The house is very modern and fresh, with very cosy beds. Very peaceful and a well equipped kitchen. We liked having two bathrooms and the big shower was lovely. It was nice to have the yard car-free.

The hot water was a bit unpredictable but we always got a hot shower after a little while.
