Kanaloa at Kona unit #2901: Whether you’re looking for a romantic retreat or a place to unwind and rejuvenate, this one-bedroom suite will satisfy your desires. Gaze out at the stunning Pacific Ocean from your furnished lanai that seats four guests and features a wet bar. Sample local coffee brewed in your suite on a lounge chair, an evening glass of wine, or dine al fresco to the sound of the crashing waves on your private lanai.
The full-size galley kitchen has beautiful wooden cabinetry, brand-name appliances, tile countertops, and backsplash. Your sous chef can assist your masterchef creations from the breakfast bar that seats three guests. For intimate dining for two, there is a high-top table for two adjacent to the kitchen. The living room hosts a separate reading area with seating for two and a larger entertainment area with a large-screen television and cozy sofa (that converts into a sofa bed). You’ll stay cool with upgraded vinyl jalousies and window shades.
From the master bedroom you will enjoy time on your private balcony. The bedroom has an elaborate bed frame and a large wooden headboard that supports a king bed. Stay cool with a split air-conditioning, an overhead fan, and a table fan. Air conditioning is available upon-request for an extra fee. Unpack and settle in in the large dresser. Great location and lanai. Kitchen could use some updated pots/pans but overall very pleased with the condo. Worked out well for our short visit. Great pools and tennis courts.

We have been coming to Kanaloa at Kona for many years and last stayed in this unit in 2010. The location of this unit is great. Every night we watched the boats as they gathered together for the giant manta ray snorkel. And then in the morning, we would walk out front to see the maintenance dept. with tools, etc. left outside all the time. Sloppy. The unit itself has not been updated in years. Windows & doors need repair, which would help in keeping out the roaches. The furniture should be more tropical and less bulky. The kitchen needs updating. Bathrooms have been updated which was nice. Kanaloa at Kona is our favorite location on the island so we will be back.

Location was great. Views were amazing and swimming pool was great. Property landscaping and facilities were awesome.
Description doesn’t say that AC was extra cost.
Room had a strange murky smell. Toilet was leaking in one bathroom (which got fixed the next day). Appliances were outdated. Not much stocks for detergent, soaps, trash bags. The staff was good and courteous including the security.
