About this house rental

1974 house located on a private 2 1/2 acres lake and 29 acres of land. Gated entry. 2 miles to Promenade At Chenal, Kroger, movie theater, restaurants, and shopping. Two bedrooms on the second floor. Second full bathroom is on the first floor. French door to an outside patio. Decks on two sides and both floors. Fire ring with five log chairs. Plenty of wood for fires in the woods. Look for fish, turtles, river otters, deer, and more. People ask about swimming in the lake. We are sorry, but there is no swimming area. Feel free to fish, row around the lake or have a fire in the ring beside the lake.
We recently had a guest ask about fish types. We have a healthy lake with bass, blue gill and catfish. It is a stocked lake. We ask that you to please catch and release only. We want everyone to enjoy the fish. A friend just checked the lake out for bass and said that there were plenty and he caught both 1-2 lb and 3-4 lb fish. I hope that helps. Please enjoy!

This was a perfect place for my husband and me. It had everything we needed, a very comfortable bed, and a lovely view. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing during our morning coffee and happy hour. And we discovered excellent restaurants just minutes away.

This cabin and lake are better than described. It was secluded in the trees yet close to shopping and activities. It was a wonderful 5 day mothers day get away. Birding, fishing, hiking, camp fire - all without leaving the property. Frogs, turtles....did i mention fishing? The property was first rate and the cabin was quaint and cozy yet large enough. The hosts were very helpful and communicative. I am thinking may be an annual visit around mothers day again!!! Thank you for this opportinity to visit Little Rock.

The Lake House is a sanctuary wrapped in authentic experiences with nature. My days consisted of sitting on the porch and listening to birds sing or positioned lakeside basking in the sun. The daily hustle and bustle; the continuous worries with life began to melt away into a mere memory as days went by. It was just the kind of peace of mind I needed. The linens and bedding felt like clouds; the toughest part of each day was leaving that space of comfort! The home itself is cozy; it’s a place that may bring back memories from your childhood. For me, I needed peace, quiet and privacy. Michael and his wife provided a very safe location to have just that; I knew if I needed anything they were just a call away. But because of their conscious efforts to keep the home in wonderful condition, I didn’t need anything! I highly recommend guests drive around the area to truly appreciate the gift the Nauman family is giving to the everyday consumer.

This “Lake House” was an excellent property for us to have a much need visit with family. It is very quite and comfortable in a beautiful wooded area on the small lake. The house is furnished with everything you might need. We had two small needs but contacted manager and they we met immediately. The bedrooms are upstairs on the ground level with several stairs going to the main living area, so make sure everyone can handle stairs. Would recommend this house, it is also very close to restaurants and shopping…..All that you need,Sharon

Neighbors dog barked alllll night!!! Door locks were stripped! No locks! Tub did not drain!! They quit texting me. Never answered their phone. Said they just do this for fun! When we contacted VRBO, they told us they in fact were the property managers! Such bs!!!

Perfect spot for 3 of us! Rental was clean, easy to check into, and simple to find due to host’s detailed instructions. The property is so quiet and peaceful, easy to forget you’re so close to the city. It was 20 minutes for us to get downtown and 15 minutes to get to Pinnacle State Park. Didn’t get a chance to use the boat, just too hot, but next time! Even had a fun ornate box turtle visitor outside the back door. Thanks for sharing your oasis with us!

We were looking for a quiet relaxing place and we found it. It is so quiet and peaceful. It is also only about 5 minutes to stores, which gave us the best of both worlds. We didn't really have any concerns, just a couple of questions and Michael was quick to respond both times. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The property is beautiful and quiet. We came to visit family that lives in LR, and having a place that 7 adults could sit and talk and have dinners together was such a great thing. Kitchen outfitted with most everything needed to cook, and stores nearby to get what we needed. The house was clean, furnished beautifully, and just a joy to stay in. I don't know how I'd feel staying there in winter, with the dirt driveway, but it was fine for summer, even with some rain. Michael, the host, was so communicative and kind. Make your reservation now!!!

Great balance of living in a secluded house on a lake; however only 5 minutes from a Kroger and 20 minutes to downtown Little Rock. We unfortunately were unable to take advantage of the outdoor amenities since it rained mostly during our stay and was quite muddy around the house. The inside was very comfortable and we enjoyed the lovely views of the lake from the dining room. Internet was very good and owners were very responsive. I do wish the keypad at the front gate was a little farther away from the gate because you do have to drive pretty close to the gate (and risk hitting it).

We threw a surprise 50th Anniversary party for our parents at the local winery, BoBrook, which is only 20 minutes from this home. My sister and I needed a place with a kitchen so we could get the appetizers ready for the party and basically hide from our parents. This house is wonderful! Driving in the first time is a little tricky but the directions and GPS helps quite a bit. The house feels like you a secluded cabin in the woods but you are within 5-10 minutes of WalMart and other shopping. The owners are great and answered all of my questions almost immediately the several times I asked. This home will stay on our family's list as it is close to my parents and we all cannot fit at their house anymore. Would definitely recommend!

The property was exactly as described and more. The relaxing nature and lake setting was wonderful. Fishing and sitting around the fire pit early morning and the evenings while the beautiful multi colored leaves slowly flutter into the lake was just perfect. It was hard to believe we were so close to restaurants, grocery store, and shopping when you feel like your way out in beauty of nature. The owner's went above and beyond to make our stay great even picked up items at the store for us so we didnt have to leave the property. If your looking for a place to decompress, enjoy nature, fish, enjoy sitting around a fire pit, then this is your place. We will return in the future.

This is a unique house. The dining room has a super tall ceiling and was a great place to spend my days working well in Little Rock. I cooked a bunch of great meals in the well-stocked kitchen. I would absolutely recommend this house. Super clean.

My Grandson's enjoyed the fishing. There is a large fenced yard area if you need to keep little ones in a restricted area away from the water. Michael was gracious and attentive. Such a beautiful place to be in nature! We had smore's on the pit! Had supplied the essentials, comfort and security! So much fun!!

What a lovely setting! As advertised, it's both quite close to Little Rock, but seems many miles away. The house is nothing luxurious, but it is adequate and comfortable. The lake, fire, boat, and fishing are all great! Michael was very quick to reply with the couple of questions we had. If our travels bring us back to LR, we will stay again!

The owner was extremely rude and hostile. I didn’t stay a full night. Me and my guests did not feel comfortable. I feel that he is a racist. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone. Also he has cameras outside & inside which is an invasion of privacy. I cancelled my reservation and demanded a refund.

If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to stay this is it. The property owners were very quick to respond and the inside of the lake house is gorgeous. My teenage son and two youngers enjoyed fishing everyday. Nighttime bomb fires by the lake making s'mores was a great way to finish our evenings. We had a great time. It’s a gated property with a main home up the street. We had a row boat and chased fish around and caught a few. Even though there is a house on property the family gave us privacy. They had a camera watching th doors and a gate to keep our unwanted visitors. It was really nice for an old house. We had U-verse and relaxed with the grill and fire pit. These folks have us privacy if we knew if we needed help they were there. I liked the woods which made a wall Of trees around the lake house, and I recommend if you cook your own food. We forgot restraunts and hotels right now..thanks for sharing the house y’all.

Nice house on a peaceful lake. Private drive serves only 2 homes so the area is very quiet. We brought our toddler who loved playing in the large front and backyard. Multiple decks allow for sitting outside with a book and a cup of coffee/tea to enjoy the lake. Dining area features 2 story windows for viewing the lake while eating. Michael was a wonderful host. Very responsive over messaging and text. Provided recommendations for the area. Check in and check out were easy. Great location for folks running the Arkansas Traveller 100.
