Step inside Commodore 1 and you'll find a beautifully decorated rental that you'll want to frequent again and again! There's plenty of space to lay out and relax in the living room, and you'll have a gorgeous view of the water outside of the large bay windows, along with plenty of natural light during the summer months. We enjoyed the view and how clean the Condo was! There was a problem with the beds. The bed in the master room mattress was awful, to soft with a foam pad, that needed to be replaced, the other bedroom bed was comfortable, we were surprised there was not a mattress pad on mattress when we took the sheets off, seemed unsanitary. Kitchen was not well stocked.

Perfect location in town to everything. We could walk to places and had a view from this unit that allowed to see the coast and a whale. The layout of the unit was also ideal allowing quiet in the bedrooms for naps/sleeping and everyone else could be up and about in the living room and kitchen. Very homey. We loved it.

The unit has a spectacular view but appears to be undergoing some renovations. The floor looks new but the baseboards are either missing or very poorly installed and don’t match. The furniture has seen better days and is faded. You sink into the seats as padding has worn down. Some light switches are in unusual places, such as the one for light over the kitchen sink is behind the microwave and the main kitchen light switch is across the room. You have to walk into the guest bathroom and reach around a cabinet for the light switch. The metal blinds in the living room and dining room are also very heavy and awkward to raise (it takes two people) if you want to enjoy the view clearly. We did enjoy our time in Depoe Bay, however for what we paid for three nights after all the added charges — reservation charge (?), cleaning (standard), various taxes, service fee(?) ??? I expected something nicer. Sadly, this was our 53rd anniversary mini trip. We are very glad that we didn’t bring guests along. It would have been embarrassing.

We gave this place 3 stars because the view is stunning and it has a cozy living room with fireplace - perfect for winter. -Also the property management team were nice. However- some real issues to to fix. (I sent pictures to the property mgmt.) Broken lamp (only one in living room) Broken lamp shade Torn shower curtain Cracked molding or none at all Stains on dining chairs If these issues are addressed- we would stay again.

We loved the location and the view!!! It was a great stay, but there are some things that could use attention. The corner of the rug near the dining room is curled up, a tripping hazard. Could just turn the rug so that corner is not in a main traffic area. It needs some placemats or coasters as I feared making a ring or stain on the lovely wood dining table or coffee table when setting down a glass of liquid, hot plate, or hot coffee. In the kitchen which was great, I would suggest some rubber or silicone spatulas, garlic as a spice that would be more needed than some of the ones there, and sharpen the knives that aren't serrated. Biggest complaint is that the explanations for remote and TV did not apply at all as not the same brand or anything, in fact the whole TV section of the notebook was useless. Some explanations of how to get channels if not streaming netflix or prime would be so helpful!!! The couch really needs replaced as it is worn and hard to get out of because the cushions have lost their support. Because it is so worn looking, it takes away from the beauty of the room and makes it appear old. Also, had we checked ahead of time, probably would have used the bed in the second bedroom instead of the master bedroom suite. The mattress in the master suite is so soft, makes noise when turning over, and you sink in it, I would really suggest its replacement. If these things were fixed, I'd book this for every trip to the coast and give it a 5 star rating.

GREAT condo! We LOVE staying here. This was our second stay for girls weekend trip. And we will be back soon for another one! Only problem we did have was fireplace would not shut off :( BUT that won't stop us from staying again! LOVE THIS CONDO! and its location is perfect!

Overall a beautiful property and perfect place to stay. The only downfalls are the bed in the master is super noisy and seems to dip in a lot and the property seems to be going through updates? so trim is missing giving a shoddy appearance. Would def stay again though.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, comfortable unit. Having said that, the unit is in need of repairs and upgrading before we would stay there again. The furniture is not as pictured, it is worn and carpets are covered with stains and burn marks. It must have been a smoking unit at one point from the odor. I would give it a C- for the cost.

The unit has a great view, we could see whales from the place, and loved the location so close to the main road and viewpoints. The updated kitchen and bathrooms were nice, could use updated carpet and furniture- couch is pretty old with stains, and bed frames and mattresses are very old and dip. Could also use a few more cooking items like oil, spare roll of paper towels, etc.

This property is badly in need of repair. The living room carpet was old and dirty, and the kitchen flooring falling apart - one pc. of the wood was missing and other places have been "repaired" with duct tape! The furniture in the living room is old, shabby and smelly. The dishwasher seemed to be falling apart. No light above the sink. The bed in the smaller room was creaky and uncomfortable. The larger bed was ok. The dresser in the larger room was missing some of the knobs and one drawer was stuck shut. The piece smelled funny. The bathrooms did appear clean and there were lots of fluffy white towels which was very nice. The curtain on the long window at the front door did not have a working tension rod at the bottom and every time we opened the door, the curtain blew outside. One of the faucets in the larger bathroom sprayed water when in use. A lot of these things would take very little time and money to repair. The place appeared to have been neglected. We were very disappointed for only the second time ever since we have been using VRBO.

Condo had a nice view, but was worn....carpet was stained & worn, holes in laminate in kitchen floor, duct tape use to secure flooring ...the cloth furniture was DIRTY, and washing machine smelled. Overall a good location, but the place needs new carpet, new flooring & new furniture....the weather was perfectly clear, & the temperature made our stay enjoyable. The condo, NOT so much. Owners could update the condo for about $2500-$3000 and could make it NICER.

The overall condition felt fairly clean. Odd damp like smell throughout. Some exposed wiring above a wet area. Not sure if those wires were hot but I didn’t bring my tester. I received one or two bug bites on my legs every night in the master bed which appears and feels extremely old/broken down. There have been bandaids instead of fixes done to this property for decades it would appear. Old furniture except one chair. Key provided did not work in the back door lock which makes it impossible to exit out the patio door without leaving the property unsecure. Newish nice kitchen counter tops. I’ve spent less per night for better accommodations in this area unfortunately because the location is better than most. This could be a $500 a night (summer rate) but not at this level of finish, needs renovation/investment.

I never got an email to give me the info for the codes etc, and she discovered there was a problem with the computer. I called the day of the arrival. She gave me the code, but I had to ask for the address of the place as it's no were on the website when you sign up, and what our room # was. Expect to struggle to find things like the router for the email. The electrical is confusing, there is a hidden switch by the fireplace that turns off half the outlets. The lights are hard to figure out, how and where to turn them on in the kitchen and living room. The carpet is very worn and bunched up, the mattresses are very old and hard. The 1st room is a box spring with a foam pad on it. Older furniture, which is okay, but some stains that could have been taken care of. Windows were dirty. The freezer smelled like fish. It wasn't filthy, it was vacuumed, bathrooms were clean, etc, but just getting very worn and stained and not much attention to detail. We found an old towel, on the floor that was rolled up and left there, and some dried food on the table. Just not the best, but not the worst either The view and location are amazing. For that, we'd come again.
