The house is located right by the sea. I really enjoyed swimming every morning before breakfast. There was a lovely private beach — quiet and peaceful. The only way to reach the house is by car; there are no shops within walking distance, but this wasn’t a problem at all. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit in the area, so we were never bored! 😊

The location was excellent. You walked out of the property onto a small, private beach with beautiful waters. Ideal for families or a group of friends wanting a quiet, relaxing stay without too many excursions. Without feeling remote, it was still out of the way allowing you to detach and enjoy your break away from other distractions, but still close enough for provisions and short visits to Vouliagmeni Lake or Loutraki.
Given the distance from the nearest super market (15 minutes), the owner had thought of simply everything. The kitchen was fully equipped with staples and other supplies for daily use. There was a variety of necessary items available that you would need normally to bring with you or shop for while there. We contacted the owner ahead of arrival and we were thus able to supplement what we needed instead of bringing along duplicate items. This also applied to bathroom items, such as shampoo and shower gel and detergents for washing machine and dishwasher.
The interior was spacious, allowing all 7 of us places to gather together and also enjoy sufficient privacy. The balconey was large with a magnificent view and was our favourite place for breakfast. 3 bed rooms of adequate size and a comfortable couch or fold up bed for the 7th person.
We never had enough hot water for 7 people, although the boiler was on the entire day. The area experienced a brief power outage and the owner contacted us to advise that it was expected power would return shortly. The water boiler didn't work properly after that, whether from the outage or from lack of capacity.
The property is wonderful, but it does require a bit of a facelift given some wear and tear, especially as regards the front lawn given its vast dimensions. Its size makes it impossible to regularly water and as a consequence it has mostly dried up. More of an aesthetic issue than a functional one, but something families with young children do appreciate.
Some care should be exercised reaching the destination, but it is all part of the charm and the experience.
