About this villa rental
Beautiful villa with history, manor house built in 1910, overlooking the Vigo estuary and San Simón Island.
It is located next to the sea and a short distance from Vigo, Las Islas Cies, National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.
This house of modernist style, is known when in the 20s of the last century it was the setting for different magazines and used for the film "Carmiña, Flor de Galicia".
Among its owners was the Vigo painter Elina Mólins Fernández Chao, sponsored by the painter Francisco Pradilla, one of the great Spanish painters of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and years later owned by Gerardo Campos (president of Vigo's Electric Trams) and visionary of the bridge of Rande.
The house is built on a stepped terrain in five terraces, which allow to contemplate the sea and the nearby hills. In its gardens of 5000m2 it has a great variety of flowers, fruit and ornamental trees, bamboo forest and underground grotto.
It is one of the most special properties and with more personality that exist in the area.

Beautifully authentic villa but also partly faded glory; many things are missing or were not good for the price you pay: wifi very poor, jacuzzi does not work, toilet blocks have not been renewed, the sink in the kitchen drains badly, the babychair is broken, dishwasher has never been cleaned, so the dishes does not get clean. Showers are very outdated. The outside terrace is also not suitable for 11 people; chairs have to be taken from inside to sit outside together. Nevertheless the view is fantastic, the pool is very good, beautiful terrace garden behind the house. All in all, for the price being asked for it, it's not good enough (or too expensive)
