Great location, very close to the beautiful Binalong Bay beach, and Merestra bar/restaurant/cafe. Easy 10 min drive to St Helen’s which has two IGAs, restaurants and cafes. The house itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay, as well as a cute little deck overlooking the water which is great for breakfast or afternoon drinks. Kitchen is well equipped and house and bedrooms were spacious.

It was comfortable and had a pleasant outlook. If 1980s decor is your thing you’ll love it. The weather was quite cool while we were there but the aircon did a good job of making it cosy.
A few things to be aware of. On arrival we read in the house notes that water should be boiled for a minute before being used for drinking. If you are arriving in warm weather or with a thirsty pack of travellers you should bring drinking water with you. You will need to buy that water, and any other self catering needs, back in St Helens which is 10 kms away. There is a pizza place in Binalong Bay but nowhere that we found to buy bread and milk etc. To be fair this would apply to any accommodation in the town. And despite there being a garbage service in Binalong Bay your are required to take your rubbish to the tip back in St Helens…..it’s a ways off the main road. There is a charge for depositing rubbish. I don’t know if this requirement is specific to this house.
