About this cottage rental
Dolphin Lookout has prime position perched above the village of Binalong Bay, with sweeping views along the famous Bay of Fires coast to Eddystone lighthouse. Surrounded by native bushes and birds, the view from all angles is simply stunning. All comforts are provided, from CD/iPod/MP3 stereo, DVD, microwave, quality coffee machine, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful hand-crafted oak dining table, designer chairs, and quality commercially laundered linen. With three bedrooms, you can fit up to three couples comfortably, or alternatively, enjoy a cozy, luxury stay for one couple. You could sit here all day admiring the lookout and watching for dolphins, or take off for many walks and adventures in the local area. FREE HI SPEED WIFI NOW AVAILABLE.
We have made some recent renovations to make Dolphin Lookout even better. The master bedroom now has its own tiled ensuite bathroom. There has been a large modern main bathroom built, so the property now boasts two bathrooms. Not only that but all three bedrooms have been recarpeted, and two are fitted with brand new beds, and bedside tables. The third bedroom has been enlarged.
We have just fitted a modern full size fridge freezer - and there is a small freezer also available. A nice extractor fan is a new addition to the kitchen as well. Just to make things even more comfortable.
NEW DECK
Best of all - we have enlarged the deck - with comfortable outside quality furniture for your enjoyment. From the deck you have wonderful panoramic views right from Grants Lagoon, Binalong Bay Beach, as well as the whole of the Bay of Fires - right up to Eddystone lighthouse. With native plants growing right up to the deck, the birdlife is amazing. And it is all very private and exclusive to you.
THE VICINITY
Dolphin cottage sits just above the white sand beaches and red rocks of Binalong Bay. Combining a sense of remoteness with access to nearby amenities in St Helens, with its supermarkets, charming bric a brac and antique shops, and the best fresh fish on the East coast. Further afield are Pyangana cheese factory next to the famous Pub in the Paddock, impressive waterfalls in lush rainforests, the historical tin mining site with world class mountain bike trails, the Eddystone Point lighthouse, the spectacular 'Gardens' - rocky outcrops of the Bay of Fires - and a myriad of beaches, inlets and lagoons to explore.
You can even walk down to the nearby "Gulch" and take a boat ride with Bay of Fires Eco Tours, which will have you looking at dolphins, whales in season, and seals, as well as the famous isolated Bay of Fires - best seen in its entirety from the water. Or walk to Merestä Eatery, less than 50 meters down the hill and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner - or even takeaway - to enjoy back on the deck.

Beautifully positioned for the great views and privacy this 'cottage' is surprisingly spacious and supplied with every basic and many special needs for a very comfortable stay. We've owned our own BNB at Eaglehawk Neck and know what is involved. Kim has done a great job with her attention to detail. We'll be back.

We felt the pictures portrayed a different aspect of the house. The cooking facilities were pretty basic with frypans not sitting flat on stove making cooking challenging, no decent wine glasses, lots of chipped cups and not enough crockery to go around. Overall the finish of the house is very basic and eclectic in feel. View was fabulous but it was to hot to sit outside during the day which could be easily remedied with a simple umbrella. We left a day early as it was disappointing. The one positive thing I can say it that the property manager was very helpful and I would definitely stay at one of their properties again, just not this one. A premium price for low quality on a renovation done very cheaply.
