Lovely stay. Exactly as advertised.

This house is a gem. It is large, very clean and a museum!! Most of the house has furnishings and fixtures from over 100 years ago. It is fantastic. I spent so much time reading the little descriptions of items in the house. The stove, the shelves, windows, chairs, paintings, etc. I enjoyed every moment. The yard around the house is very charming and lovely. You have everything you need there from laundry, kitchen, bathrooms, bbq, very clean garage, hot tub, etc. I was very lucky to have found this place. Well done by the host/ owner.

This house was amazing it was like staying at a mini museum. Its an old victorian home filled with antiques. It was great because there was centual a/c so we really got to enjoy the home since it was so hot outside. It was everything we expected based on all the details provided. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our experience. Brand new charcoal bbq. Was nice but need grill brush for cleaning. Lots of ants in the kitchen.
Otherwise all was great.

Extraordinary stewardship of history in this historic home, but also a gorgeous yard and thoughtful attention to detail. We played Pictionary, loved the hot tub and garden, and were grateful for the information all around the home

What an absolute joy to stay in this house. I grew up in the Midwest and a farmhouse... This place was reminiscent of that for me. The antiquities were amazing, thank you for posting the stories about them. I loved the grounds. So gorgeous, and I will be coming back to stay when everything's in bloom ❤️. I hope we left everything as you would like it to be. And I will be returning. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us.

This is a magical little sanctuary.
The house and gardens are all historic and perfectly kept. The wrap around veranda takes you back to imagining life when the town was built.
My favourite thing of all was the old magnificent antique cooking range! It was a joy to cook on and really was a thing of beauty!!!
We look forward to coming back soon…

Lovely Victorian with lots of historical charm. Walking distance to downtown Jackson and driving distance to all of Amador County.

The house was very comfortable with many amenities. There was a room full of books and games, kitchen stocked with cookware, appliances, spices, and more, outdoor barbecue grill. The outdoor garden was nicely landscaped and beautifully designed. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to soak in the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back

Came to town to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday. Walked on Main Street, enjoyed the yard, played games, cooked dinner and breakfasts, barbecued, toured wineries and the town of Sutter Creek, and sat in the hot tub under the moo and stars! It was a perfect weekend!

Charming simple wine country retreat very comfortable and quiet. Lots of yard space for quiet reflection and peace. The hot tub was large and super convenient. Ate out mostly, a quick walk to town, and beds were super comfortable.

Follow the instructions that the rental company gives you to get to parking!! The building that you park in front of is the garage and not the house. We were in complete panic mode arriving in the dark to the property and using the code only to realize that the gorgeous house was just steps away. Our hostess checked via text and all is well, thank you Belinda!
Stunning 3 bedroom Victorian Farmhouse, fenced in yard is great for kids or fur babies. Close to downtown!

Loved this old house and its grounds. Great location. All of the amenities that we want nearby. You have to be able to navigate the stairs but very worth the effort. We will definitely go back in the future. Thanks for having us.

Relaxing weekend in my home town
Relaxing weekend in my home town
Very comfortable old home decorated very nicely with interesting facts included near art. Great yard for our dogs, quite location, peaceful setting. Decently appointed kitchen, and baths. I do take slight issue with being asked to wash a load of towels, run and unload dishwasher etc. We paid 150 cleaning fee+ additional fee for the dogs. I assumed that was to pay a housekeeper to service the home. I hardly made a mark having used one of the three bedrooms, and being tidy by nature. It just seems a bit much to require so many fees and expect guests to clean and launder before leaving at 11am. The cleaning and fees for the dogs was nearly as much as the per night fee. Would love to make this a regular place as I have family in Jackson and the hotels are limited but, just can't see spending so much on fees and having to clean etc. At any hotel no matter how few stars, they don't expect you to do your own laundry.

Loved this cute house and yard. Belinda was great to work with and answering all our questions before our arrival. Couldn’t figure out though where the light switch was at for over the sink in the kitchen. The hot tub was a hit. Walking to old town Jackson was SO quick and easy. Raley’s supermarket is less than a mile away. The yard is beautiful and well fenced for the kids to play outside.
The beds were comfy and the sheets were nice.
We will definitely stay here again when the time comes again.

We loved our time at Lorraine's Secret! The home and grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and we so enjoyed reading about all of the amazing antiques. The wraparound porch and parlor at the front of the home were our favorite places to just relax. The hot tub was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. Convenient to downtown Jackson as well as a few minutes from Sutter Creek, the location is great. We went to Taste restaurant in Plymouth for dinner, which is one of our all-time favorite restaurants. Our dog fit in great in the home, and enjoyed sniffing around the large fenced yard. We highly recommend Lorraine's Secret as a vacation respite or a weekend away!

Beautiful but not toddler safe
Beautiful but not toddler safe
The property and house are beautiful but its got some challenges for parents of toddlers beyong the standard. Inadequate locks on exterior doors to prevent toddlers from exiting the house and privacy locks on interior doors are low enough that my 2 1/2 year old was able to lock herself into a bedroom. Overall we had a great time but it was not as relaxing as I hoped for because of the door issues. Everything we needed was close by. Favorites: Blue Door Bakery, Highway House Restaurant and Poor Man's Bronze. Next time we will get out more it was just too dang hot plus COVID.

Excellent winter getaway!
Lots of nooks and crannies to explorer. Really appreciated the labels for the antique decor. The grounds are lovely w/a wraparound porch. We lucked out with great weather in Dec and was able to eat outside and enjoy the garden. Conveniently located to historic downtown (5 min walk). 2 bdrms upstairs + 1 bathroom in the hallway. The largest bedroom w/king bed is located upstairs. The 3rd bdrm is downstairs - also 1 bathroom w/shower downstairs. Overall great stay!
